Def in nutes? I have mg organic tho...

I'm kinda intouble with my plants. 3 out of 4 are yellowing on their first set of leaves, and the tips are curling downward. It's most related to sulfate or nitrogen def. But I have MG organic soil...I thought it would have enough nutes for weeks!![didnt know the cons of mg before I planted. I'm not here to talk about how bad MG is] 1 of the three having problems, on new growth the leaves are twisting to an extreme lol..My PH is 7.1 in soil and always 7.0 phed water when I water. I water by weight BTW, and last watering was 2 or 3 days ago. Growth seems to be stunted as well..

My fourth one is GREAT. I think it's a little over watered, due to slightly drooping leaves. and still waiting for a 2 other seedlings to pop into life out of the soil.


So, I'm asking if I should risk it, and go ahead and add nutes at 1/4th str, or does anyone else have any ideas for this problem?

Hmmm, on my first grow with MG organic as well. I'm at week 5 and just starting to flower and all i've done is water them every 3-5 days. They look awesome too I think. The MG Organic says 2 months worth of nutrients so I think it might be something else. I watered today with half strength FloraNova Bloom so I'll see how it takes. GoodLuck

I had great luck with MG Organic Garden soil in my last grow.
There is also MG Organic Potting soil, which I've not used, seems to have the higher PH of the 2.
Anyhow, lack of nutes with either of these soils is unlikely. Plenty of nutes for 2-3 weeks. Something is keeping them from your plant(s), such as PH or high dissolved solids in your water. Bringing your PH down should be helpful. There are cheap test strips that measure nitrogen, phosphorous, etc., in the outflow water/soil.

Well the PH is about 7.1 7.2, so it's probably it. I dropped my PH down in the green garbage bin, and had to throw it away. Pretty broke at the minute. any way to lower PH without it?...I'll google it too. Thanks for the tips. I have the organic potting soil. + rep to growone! for the info on soils!!

A little lemon juice or vinegar will work to lower pH. But go easy with it.

How about squeezing a llemon on the soil to lower PH?

i've seen a few growers here swear by malt vinegar, claim it held the ph down better than ph down
