Alright there was a challenge thrown down in another thread.
An RIU member claimed he could guess the yield of a plant +/- 10% from a picture of it as it goes into flower.
Honestly I think an experienced grower would get good at this skill. I highly suspect that his estimates will come close. There are others who think it hogwash...let us see.
Grow details;
All are from seed. There are no special genetics. All are from "mids" bagseed. Some are indica heavy and some are sativa heavy.
All seeds wet into the paper towels June 1st. and into the ground june 15th. This is my first grow in this location so I had a lot of learning to do. This subhected my plants to continual pruning from Quail and such.
They are all in holes that are 3x3 and filled with a 50/50 mix of organic potting soil and local sand. They get very good sun light, in a high desert at 4200 feet. My daily temps run in the low 90* but on occasion get up to 100*
In veg they recieved General Hydroponics brand ferts, then into flower I switch to DR Earth organics.
Lets see how close he gets.
Planter #1: 25" tall, looks indica to me.
Planter #2: 26"tall been lolly popped by bugs bunny
Planter #3: 20" and 17" tall and these two look sativa.
Planter #4: 24" tall indica
Planter #5: 18" tall and another of bugs victims
Planter #6: four plants tallest is 29" and 26" the other two are 18"
Planter #7: four plants tallest 27" and 25" the other two are 20"
