I would rather have 5 gallons of aids injected into my blood than have even one cancerous cell in my body. AIDS is the self-inflicted cancer of stupidity (generally... because most people get it not using protection, or sharing needles, etc.) and people have been known to live long lives WITH AIDS... Most people with cancer don't live too long...
Yeah dude my mom did her chemotherapy, lost her hair, had a mastectomy (lost her right breast) but like I remind her every time she starts to cry, these are the things we go through to demonstrate how much we value life. She's alive, while she may feel fucked up- her hair is growing back, she can have an implant to replace her breast... but like I said (most importantly) she's alive. and thankfully cancer free now.

Either way I hope for the best... No doubt with the amount of members we have here some definitely have to deal with these things... It's just a matter of odds, and I think any life lost is a tragedy, even if it was because of unprotected sex or sharing needles, etc.

Ya know, my mom was told it didn't have to do with smoking cigarettes as much as it was genetic. My best friends sister also fought breast cancer, through her chemotherapy she was still smoking (it's good in a way that it relieves stress), and fighting cancer is 80% good attitude 10% keeping yourself rested, and 10% medicine.She fought cancer, lost her hair, lost her breast, stopped chemo when her blood checks were normal, grew her hair back, and got a breast implant.
One thing to say about chemo though, is that it seems to make your hair curly when it grows back!

People DO have things to do... but remember that we are the most shady, unethical species to exist to date. Her friend likely knows that she got a call back from her doctor, and is too ashamed to answer the phone because her "friend" should've told her LONG ago that she has an STD.
Just from my perspective.
