I just started germinating five bagseeds my bro gave me and after two days one germ'd. I am very excited for that one, but what of the other four that have been germinating for four days now? Should I give up on them after four days of germinating? and how can i tell if they have any potenial to germinate at all?

lol, relax. it can take a little while for em to sprout, to speed it up put em on a heating mat on the lowest possible setting for warming the soil up which they like(or water or pucks or cubes.)

How did you germinate? Were the seeds dark brown with black tiger stripes, or did they look like lil limes? I germinate with the simple but effective paper towel technique, if you did as well, do as NWS advised and be patient. Good Luck!

Thanks northwood , reading all the other journals and seeing most of their seeds germ in the first or second day, was kind of making me lose hope. Also because two of the seeds look a bit off one is small and resembles a seed from a orange and the other one has a hint of green. Thanks though maybe i'll have a little grow of my own after all.

no offense but the paper towel method is the worst and easiest to screw up........pucks or water or soil are so much better and easier.......drop the puck in the soil or take the seed out of the water when germinated and put in the dirt or just put it in the dirt from the get go.....paper towel method if it gets too moist or dry the paper can stick together and fuck the root up when you try to transplant it.....

Thanks all i have been germinating with a damp paper towel on a plate with plastic covering it so as not to lose moisture.

I use the paper towel method and never have an issue. I also, am way less technical with it...I leave it covered, in a cup, on my kitchen counter (cause if i put someplace else, i forget about it). I give about 3-4 days and that normally does the trick. Once in a while, I get a stubborn one that takes a week. I also hear that soaking them first helps?

I dunno.

Beg seeds grow easy for some reason.

if you want to use the paper towel method, get towel fairly moist(fold paper towel over a few times to hold in moisture), put it inside of a ziploc bag, squeeze all air out and seal it. then take that and put it in something dark.... such as a dvd case. place that dvd case on top of something that stays warm.... works for me :) good luck

Sorry the paper towel method was too hard for you...:wall: As for myself, I spend not a dime on germinating and I get damn near 100% success so I guess to each his own??? Been doin it for years and never let me down yet...

yep, to each is own. im glad you can get good results with it but putting in water somewhere warm will get the tap root out fast and ready to be transplanted

ive had that problem w/ the root sticking to the towel and breaking off, so all i gotta do is drop em in a cup of water?

this is the part every one left out, and it has allot to do with getting the seeds to germinate. if the water gets cold the seeds will never sprout

if your gonna rep anyone give it to this guy. i am
