This is an open thread and any advice/comments are much appreciated as this is my first grow. Hoping a few people will drop in from time to time to help me along the way! :weed:

Came across RIU a few months ago, liked what I saw and decided to have a go in my closet
:leaf:. I've got 9 plants in action here:
AUG10: 2x Skunk sprouted
AUG16: 2x White Widow and 2x Mama Mia sprouted
AUG22: 3x White Widow sprouted

I've opted to go for more smaller plants to fit under the 250w lamp. I cannot have them taller than 2.5' at harvest hence the small pot sizes. I'll probably switch the whole lot to 12/12 when the oldest skunk reaches week 3 of vegging.
So day 1 of this grow is the day the first two skunk seedlings sprouted.

Day 7: The oldest skunk at the front noticably bigger than the others. The other skunk seedling is stunted.. received the same treatment as the others..

Day 9: Roots began to show so they were transplanted, the two biggest (one skunk, one WW) went in 4.5L pots, the rest of them in plastic cups. One of the skunk seedlings definitely stunted badly . Started adding superthrive to the water and foliar spraying.

Day 13: The second WW and the bigger MM are transplanted into 4.5L pots. The second MM got heat stress and is stunted too. Outside getting a good few hours of sunlight. Then back inside with the rest of the family. The two stunted ones are making a slow recovery:clap:. Three new WW seedlings doing good.

The whole family under the 250w MH hanging about 10" above the tops with a 65w CFL for the seedlings.

Day 15 (today): The big skunk showing its first five fingered leaves! Began LST on it today with some pipecleaners.. Pics are before and after.. I've never done this before so lemme know if its alright! The WW is also getting quite tall, might start LST on it tomorrow.

Two 65w CFLs set up exclusively for those new growth points on the big skunk and the new WW seedlings :-o. The older two WW with the two stunted ones (skunk, MM).

Lemme know how I'm doing!

Just put them outside for an afternoon of direct sunlight. Air temps are around 65 to 70 but in direct sunlight the thermometer shoots up to 92+ because of the light heat.. is this alright? What do outdoor plants do?!

Low stress training.. bending the stem over and tying the tops down to expose the lower growths. I need to keep these short, doing this gets them more stocky and bushy

Niiice grow man they lookin good also... how tall are u plannin to grow it before u put it in flowering stage??... btw i got sum new pics bro cheak out the update.. keep up the good woord Happy GROWINGS:)

Today was day 16 for the oldest one.. planning on getting some panda film up to make it lightproof and switch to 12/12 in about a weeks time. I'll be flowering with a 250w MH.. anyone know if this will cause a lot of stretching? I have to keep these under 2.5' at harvest.

Started LST on one of the widows, she's 12 days old .

As you can see there is a pretty mean bend on that stem.. do you guys think this is too early/too hard on it?

looking good! i usually dont bend until they get a little bigger, if at all... its all personal preferance

neither, its a fan heater running on just fan. Pushes enough air around to keep temps at around 78-80 with the light 8" away. Got a stronger 6" fan on its way, once that's set up I should be able to get the light even closer

looking good jrk! hey i was wondering if you had any photos of your grow box, because im on week 2 of growing under a 250 mh light as well. Im hoping to make a box this weekend around the same dimensions. thanks man

rx only, what you see in post above is my closet (3.5' wide, 5.5' high and 2' deep). If you look in my first post you can see a cardboard box I cut up in various places to help ventilation while being able to have the CFLs clamped onto something. I got rid of the box yesterday as I'd rather have the lower temps without the CFLs so I can get the 250w mh a few inches closer.

Maybe another 3 or 4 days until they go under 12/12. :-o LST going well on the 2 plants so far, might tie down some of the others tonight or tomorrow

the big skunk today, 4 days from LST start
