Medical grows and landlord searches... Toss plants or give grow tours?

dude id clean out for the day, im pretty sure you mite have to notify lanlords in advance to get the okay to grow the high humidity can cause mold and there are other inherit risks that go along with the practice, but while there there ask them what is the policy on prop 215 on there properties , explain that you have a med card and that you are authorized to grow by law but would like to kno if its allowed on the premises..... they mite already have a policy towards this since you said its a corpo company that deals with your property ..... itll give you insight on what they would do if you were to grow...lil do they kno its already going on.... but surprising them on a visit with a grow room full of a plant that is looked down upon could end up bad for you and even the inspector mite have thier own values against it .... well enough ramblin for me haha

put them in the shower behind the curtain and have a candle burning for smell(this is what me and friend did. They will just look into the bathroom and make sure it looks like you clean the place. They don't make sure you wipe your ass. They just want to know the place isn't fucked up from parties etc. Your landlord could be different but they did a 5 minute tour of mine and where outta there. Good luck!!

Great news. Did as suggested, printed out all the laws, took my medical info, and went to meet with the mgmt. They are fine with medical use and allowed me to keep the grow up during the inspection. I hope this helps any other growers in this situation, but still be prepared to bail out as others suggested if the meeting doesn't go well....

I am only 26 days from harvest now, check it out here.

YO MCONE i have a good idea... i think you might like this one... hopefully you will find out exactly how the manager feels about it.. and if he knows how the inspectors might feel... 2 ways to do this... if you dont talk to you landlord much and he dont reconize your voice then call him up on a blocked number or a friends number or have a friend call for you and simply either say you are a tenant or you want to move in and you have your medical license and you are growing and you want to know how he feels about that.. he should tell you exactly how he feels if he tries to say that you cant let him know its medical legal and he is denieing you the rights provided to you by the state to provide yourself with the medication for your needs.

I'd be paranoid though that everyone knows, maintenance people and everyone else that works there and then who'd they tell as well...

Might want to at least always keep a hidden stash of meds in case someone takes everything they can see at some point.

but then again I am just paranoid...

Oh well it's still cool you're not being treated like a criminal and you didn't get evicted, good job. You were right and many of us were wrong.

ohh woops didnt notice that post ... well thats great news... i live in a house and my landlord visits a lot and im kinda in same boat as you where ... but since he only owns 3 houses if i try the advise i gave he would know in one of those houses someone is growing... since im a 25 yrold and i think other houses have families he would know it was me and would inspect a little more next time you know...

Sounds like it all worked out alright for you. I was going to suggest bribery, or leaving a floater in your toilet to divert their attention. Good luck for the remainder of your grow.

Never ask pot heads what to do in this type of situation!They are either going to be over paranoid or say you have nothing to worry about man its legal.Growing pot is not legal on the federal level.In most states if a landlord knows his renter is growing or making drugs he can lose his rental.The question that you should ask your self is (Is my landlord on a mission to over grow the government?)If you answered NO,take your pants to a friends or outside.Its crazy to think a non pot smoker is going to want his renter growing dope in his rental and that is Cali too.

I just wanted to add that even though growing is illegal on the federal level, it is not the states responsibility to uphold federal laws. If it were, every medical marijuana card holder would have a lot more to worry about
