I see alot of people using upwards of 10-20 bulbs. Is that required to grow good bud. In the space I have I could probably get 8-10 at the most.

i maxed out at 12 bulbs for 2 girls

Heres my old cfl grow with 7 42 watt soft white cfls, yielded 64 grams dried.

440W CFLs, vegged for one month, flowered for 74 days. Top cola was 3.5" in diameter and over a foot long. I grew this plant along with 2 others, and this one just loved the setup I guess. The first plant had a top cola of 7.5" with a diameter of 1.5" and yielded over an ounce (34g) dry. I'm excited to see the yield on this girl...but she's still drying. The third plant is STILL growing and just started showing amber trichs on day 75. She'll probably go until day 82 or 83. Will re-post then!

Glad to see people posting under this topic again, i had to bring it back it was like page 112 in the CFL forum, but i figured everyone would want to see what they will be getting with CFLS and maybe inspire more people to use them too!!!! Im currently flowering under 427 watt of CFL will post pics once the flowering comes further along only on day 2 now. check out my journal!

Hey all,just decided to show my buds,were vegged under 18 30watt 6500k,and are currently under 9 42watt 2700k,and 9 30watt 6500k for a great mix of spectrum.My grow medium is FFOF, with FF GROW BIG for flowering.These girls are in week 5 and can't wait till chop day.

Hello, i just had to post my latest cfl grow. begged 4-5 weeks and flowered under 2 x 45 watters 4500k and under 4x 40 watters 2700k
here she is.

it WAS good.... tasted like blend of lime and lemons..and a hint of lavender.. i yeiled 34 grams off the plant i put the smaller buds to hash product to make oil so i had a total of 30 grams to smoke on it own, it was Flavourfull as fuck. enjoyyyyyyy!

Just chopped down 4 of 5 plants,the pre-harvest pics are a few posts up,used cfl's and bag seed got 317 grams wet with the biggest plant still to chop in about 2 weeks....... CFL'S ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

For the People Who think Cfls will get em good results and have done half the Research im sorry to say it doesnt work that way... cfl will show you shit results as i have seen over and over again..

I just wanted to point out that there are people who grow successfully with cfls. Dr. BudGreenGenes over at icmag and his wife are prime examples. To think that a newbie to growing is going to be able to throw some seeds in soil and put it under cfls and do well is not an expectation that is fairly leveled. Most people who do cfls are new to growing or are doing it for personal consumption and security. Cfl's suit their cause perfectly. But again, people with their hid love to beat a dead horse no? If it works for you, good, if it doesn't okay, bottom line, don't shit all over people who choose to try cfls. It is their choice and if they don't like it they can always move up to hid when they have the chance. I just don't understand people who come in and start shit in the cfl forum. Seems a little like this no?

dr. high i cant agree with you at all, i have had great results with cfl's. Maybe my yeild could have been higher with an hid but that didnt matter and the quality of bud could not have been better AT ALL. and i think you should make your own thred if you want to bash cfl's. If you can't get good results cfl's that sound like you have a problem growing with cfl's dr. high!!!
