sorry, nope, just not true, plants do not eat mollasses, micro organisms do not get eaten either for that matter, i used to sell septic tank cleaner, i convinced people to send $$ in return for some (micro organisms) which i instructed them to flush down their toilets, those people will go to their graves thinking their septic tank is cleaner than before this magic product was introduced... people will believe anything if they think it will work...MOLASSES DOES NOT BELONG IN A GROW MEDIUM!!now i dont want to hear any more about it!:o

Palnts actually do eat microorganisms, (nematodes, and most plants do eat them) but that has little to do with the reasons mole asses helps us out.

The reality of the interrelationships between plants, microorganisms, and soil is so much more complex than the vast majority of even the most expert weed growers among us. (That is not to say I know more than them about how to grow dank, just that I have an understanding that soil is alive in so many more ways than we simple minded humans give thought to....basically, I know that I don't know anything, whereas some people think they do know most everything that is worth knowing)

The real deal that a lot of people will one day know is that properly cared for soil life will support abundantly healthy, resilient, and resistant to stress plant life that requires far far far less work and intervention than most of us currently even think is possible.

For more info on this, look up "Permaculture"

Molasses is a tried and true method of improving plant growth..... and not just weed either. Our forefathers used molasses religiously before all the high tech fert's were available to farming. I'll go with them.....tyvm. :peace:

heyyyy,

I use Sucanat ,,, Its awesome. its 100% organic and disolves in water very easily, packed with all kinds off good stuff and taste kinda like caramel.
It really helps with oil and carb productions in your buds, and improves soil.
its like $5.50 for a 2LB bag.

I've been using for almost 5 years, and it really makes a diff i think.
My baby is in her 2nd week of flowering and i've been dosing her with sucanat and already shes smelling sweet like candy.

I do not use it, but I have heard nothing but positive things about it.
When I'm up north visiting the boys, a few still do outdoor. Mostly indoors these days. All hydro indoor, no soil. Out of six of them none use Molasses. I'm not saying it doesn't "work" but the big plant/big nug growers I know and the ones on this site that have the sweetest portfolio of succesful grows don't use it.

I don't know a lot of guys that grow 2-3lb yields per plant that use molasses. I know a ton of guys that grow QP to half QP grows and use molasses. Not saying the stuff doesn't "work" and I'm not saying it holds you back. I'm just sayin'...

But the trend I see that always works is NPK.

Imma quote myself from another post.

"Here's what 1 tbs of my organic molasses contain:
Carbs: 4% (helps nute intake)
Potassium: 22% (don't we use P for flowering?)
Calcium: 10% (yeah, cannabis can matabolize calcium... thought so...)
Iron: 15% (that too! pretty good for yellowing leaves too if I recall...)
Magnesium: 8% (Oh yeah, a micronutrient rarely found in common ferts but my plant can def use that!)
Vitamin B6: 10% (Vitamin B6 is an essential metabolite in all organisms, and cannabis can synthetise that too. Good stuff!)

With that said, I think molasses are a perfect organic flowering nute for cannabis."
