Buds smell like ammonia!!!

I have a few buds I harvested and dried for a few days then put in paper bags. It's been their first 24 hours in a mason jar and wen I went to smell it I was met with a very pungent spicy odor that felt like a sting in the back of my throat abd nose. Buds came out very moist and I'm worried it could b mold. Any suvgestions?

It is mold. Let them air overnight & change jars might help some.

It got moldy in less than a day?!?! Nooooooooo fuck no no no I don't believe it. It doesn't have any signs of mold. Although some of the leaves that are still on my plant have been gettin brownish and it's dff still moist healthy feeling leaves. I don't know how to describe it. But it's not entire leaves that are brownish

they are going to mold, man people are telling you and you dont beleive them, why ask for help bro, vinegar/ammonia smelling bud = mold forming. period.



edit - they are also brown becuase you left them in paper bags to long without airing them out enough slow dry with jars nad paper bags = mold

She was my baby. It's a hard fact to accept that the past 4 months if my love, time and MONEY(alot of money) were futile due to mold. Such a small thing killed my baby. I'm going to kill mold. As god as my witness No one shall suffer from mold again!!!

if you just let them air out they will probabyl be fine as long as theres no visible mold

Yes.....but keep your eye on it.Make sure you have checked for any more discolored shit.If so pick it out.It'll need a little bit more attention to get it dried and cured correctly now.Make sure it dosen't get TO dry....crumbly.....then place in a jar......giving fresh air frequently for a few days. and good luck with yo smoke....

I like my secondary stems to snap before I mason them. Then yes, open at least 3 times the first couple of days. The buds are almost crispy when they go in the jars, but come out soft and nice. Better luck next time. Trim what you can.
