hi im from australia , just trying to work out what sort of water do i get from the supermarket ? it cant be softened and most the water bottles here have chloride in them for our teeth , any ideas?
Because Fish Aquarium owners let there water sit out for 24 hours just to make sure there is no trace of chlorine since it will combine with fish excretions and cause a nasty fish killing disease. As long as you have lots of the water exposed to air in a large container it should evaporate very quickly. Now if its all sitting in a huge bottle with a small opening to pour out the water its obviously going to take longer. So just as a general rule of thumb, 24 hours should be plenty of time for any amount of water in any open container to readily evaporate all the chlorine out.15mins ey ? interesting , why is it that everyone else here says wait like a day or 2 ?
