I went to Amsterdam for my honeymoon in 2006. Man lemme tell u somethin - Jamaica sounds cool n all, but Amsterdam is where its at. There are MAD fuckin parties out there ALL THE TIME, and i mean, needless to even talk about all of the fuckin bud man. Its insane out there. Shrooms are decriminalized, so is peyote, you can go right next door from any coffeeshop to what is called a SMARTSHOP, and get your caps from them.
They got all kinds of shit to get fucked up on out there. Drugs aside though, there is alot of history out in Amsterdam. ALOT - there are alotta museums, could go check out the Anne Franke house, which is pretty cool, go to the Amsterdam Dungeon, which is fuckin SCARY AS SHIT when your high off your ass.... N dont get me fuckin started on the red light district man. There are some fuckin FREAKS in those alleyways, lol. There are midgets, fat chicks, n some REALLLLLLLLLLLLY fuckin fine ass girls that fly in from all over the world to be a hooker there.
There all clean as hell too from what i understand( i wouldnt know personally cuz it was my honeymoon, lol).
I spent two n a half weeks almost out there, and i didnt wanna leave. We took a train from the dam over to Paris for a week, and lemme tell u, i wanned to cry the whole time i was in france. I mean, we visted Jim morrisons grave, the eiffel tower, the leuvre, blahblahblahblah, but every night when we got back to the hotel, i blazed up a spliff of the grasshopper special, n just couldn't stop thinkin about Amsterdam. Plus paris smelled like a dirty fuckin fart everywhere u went, too, so that made it even more unenjoyeable.
youll even be amazed by their tram systems. Their transportation setup is the most efficient setup in the world. The tram is the only way to go to get anywhere you wanna be thats not within walking distance.
Man, Amsterdam is basically MECCA to all us stoners, and anyone that has the chance to go, should definitely go at least once in their lives. Im so glad that i went when i had the chance personally man, it changed my outlook on everything. The Dutch are the most awesome people in existense - the nicest, and talkative people i have ever met. Everyone speaks english, and are so quick to wanna help you out, and point you in the right direction, or show you where to find some drugs that you cant buy in a store, or show you where the bomb ass nightclubs are, or the best place to get souveniers, or even where the best bud in amsterdam is. I could literally talk about Amsterdam forever man. Check it out - do it for yourself, and do it for all of us here, so we can hear how your trip was.
Also one more thing - if your gonna go, try to go end of oct beggining of nov(i think) for the cannabis cup. You can buy a judges pass at the door for somethin like 300 euro, and its well worth it. You get to sample every single kinda bud thats entered into the comp, wether it be through a vaporizer, a shotgun, or even a spliffy or flower, or a blunt. And then after all is said and done, you get to be a part of the voting process in choosing who wins, and is eventually featured in high times magazine as the best bud in the world.
If THAT aint motivation for you to go to Amsterdam, nothing is. Try to get a room by Damm Square, its right in the Center of the city, and you can get everywhere from there. I got my room at the Golden Tulip hotel, and was good priced, plus was only a 5 minute walk from a tram, and was only a 5 minute tram ride to Dam square.
sorry for the rant bro. I just get excited when i hear someone talk about amsterdam, cuz i want everyone to have that type of experience at least once in their lives..
