powering hps and mh lights with a generator

hey guys im starting up ny grow rooms with a fair few 1000w hps lights, my main concern is that of getting caught if i use alot of lights and my electricity bill skyrockets, thus causing the police to raid my house....

i was wondering if anyone else out there in riu is using a generator to power their lights just to be on the safe side, if nnot, what are other people out there doing to avoid the piggies??

well, it depends on the size of place your growing at

a normal sized house 2-3 bed room or bigger, i would prep the light before growing by a few days at 1-2 hours on, just every 3 days add a hour

so
first day 2 hours
4th day 3 hours
7th day 5 hours
11th day 7 hours

all depends on your kwh

use this formula

running hours * total watts
(ur case 1100watts(100watts for ballast))

then divide by

power of lamp(1000 * KWH * 30 days(bill per month from lighing)


and 8 cents i think is about average for KWH so it would be about 32 dollars more a month for your lamp

i dont really get what your saying sorry(mabye cause im pretty baked ), i just want to have a generator so theat there is no suspicions about my electricity bills!!

is there anyone else grwoing a substantial amount of buds under high powered lights??? i just wonder what you guys do to stop the po po from coming to your house???

like all those lights must look so fucking obvoius on the power bill haha

oh yeah and to ansewr your quesiton its just a standard sized bedroom allocated to simply grwoing

most everyone is going to till you to just pay your bill and you will be fine-i also want to know this = iplan on upgradeing to a 600w hps from cfl

i dont know about that man its still pretty risky, cops dont give a shit if you pay your bill or not they care if there is an obvious reason for the sky higih amounts of electricity using

i was thinking of getting one of those petrol generators, although it would be more to do that it would be way worth it in the long run

i would imagine it wouldnt cost too much more than just using electricity but anyhow it doesnt matter much
money isnt really a factor at the moment, its more the fact of getting caght growing a fuck load of weed hahaha

you say a fair few 1000w lights. what does that entail...

explaining a 1000/2000w usage is prbably very vey doable, i mean myself, aside from my light, i'll have 8 screens, 3 hifi's, 5 computers on etc, at any one time. (not just myself of couse:P within the flat)

if you're talking 8000w of lights, then ummm, good luck :D
