In this grow room there are 2 different strains. There are 4 Grand daddy clones and 2 sour diesel clones. The clones are in styrofoam cups until they get a little bigger which is when they will be put into 3 gallon pots. They are being grown in Fox farms potting soil which states not to use any nutrients for the first 30 days as the soil already contains enough nutrients for the plants. The clones are under a 400w metal halide for vegging then they will be switched to a 600wHPS for flowering.
When the clones were first put into the room the light was set about 9" away from the plants, An exhaust fan was running 24/7 and so was an oscillating fan. The room started to get up to 85 deg F at which time some leaf curling was noticed. The light was raised up to 17" away from the plants and the oscillating fan was removed in exchange for a 9500btu portable AC which now keeps the room at 72 deg F and the humidity at 45. However leaves are still curling. A combo moisture/ph meter is used for testing the plants. Testing the PH of the plants sows they are at about 7.75PH. As for watering the plants are tested twice a day and water is added when the meter first starts getting into the red zone The meter reads moisture on a scale of 1-10 water is added when the meter reads at 3 to avoid over watering. Can anyone tell what may have caused the leaf curling and if anything should be changed to prevent further damage to the plants?
