How many watts per plant SOG?

So I'm thinking of growing SOG. Well I've been doing some research on it, and I can't find out how many watts of HID HPS I need per plant. Can you guys help me out here? Thanks

i use 1k's, best results with bigger lights. as for per plant, i never did the math. i can fit 40 under a 1k, but i also grow 3' sog plants.

how big is the grow area? are you useing hps for veg?

grow area is about 3ft by 3ft and yes I will be using hps for veg

600 would be better for the smaller space; i personally would still go with air cooled 1kw (but i'm spoiled)

couldn't of said it better myself , but with a SOG, your light height is very important. I have never grown a SOG honestly, but i am always aware of heat stress no matter the case. more light generates more heat. if you feel you can get rid of that heat, get as much light, or as many, as you can.
