ok, i know what ur thinkin...what a dumba**...but i was just wondering what some of the technical terms mean and a few questions...ok..what age will u be able to tell if its m or f? is 24\7 light bad? are yellow spots bad? whats a good fertilizer?? are 2 in one pot bad?? how long does it take from seed to smoke?? please don't make fun...professional smoker amatuer wanna be grower... u know just to see if i can!! thanks any and all...this site rocks!! rock on all :peace:

1) some plants show "preflowers" as early as 4 weeks into veg... others won't ever show until you put them into a 12/12 on/off light schedule

2) 24/7 lighting isn't "bad" persay, but a lot of people feel that 18/6 on/off is better because it givesthe pants a chance to rest.... both will veg your plants though

3)yellow spots can mean lots of things, pictures?

4)a good fertilizer is one that works... haha... so many people use so many different things... it really all depends... are you gonna go organic? or do you not care if you use chem. ferts? a lot of people use Fox Farms, General Hydroponics, and Advance Nutrients lines... so those are a few brands that'll do ya good...

5)two plants in one pot isn't the best idea.... especially if its a smaller container.... roots will compete for space and whatnot, and one may even choke the other out... also i've heard, that's a sure fire way to get 1 male and 1 female (don't take my word on that though)

6)seed to smoke you're looking at a minimum of about 3 1/2 months for something of some decent quality (it'll still be a bit harsh though)

cuz you're gonna need atleast 3 months to grow (that's if you do just 1 month veg and 2 months flower) and you'll need to wait another week or two before you're harvest dries to something smokeable.... in reality though you should let your bud cure in jars for atleast a month before you start tokin it

24/7 lighting is fine. The nutes you choose are up to you, there is Botanicare and Fox Farm, etc. For veg you want a higher Nitrogen food. For flowering you want higher P and K numbers. Some strains will show sex in preflowers, some don't. If a plant shows preflowers it usually in week 4 or later but really depends on the strain. The amount of time it takes to be smokalbe from seed is usually 3 + months, this also depends on how long you veg for. This also is something that is different between strains. I would not recommend putting more than one plant per container in soil grows. And yellowing leaves usually mean that the plant needs food.

And don't woory about asking questions, you can't learn until you ask, right? Everybody starts out in the same place...good luck. if you have anymore questions ask away, even if you want to PM me I don't mind, I like to spread the art...lol.

Vegging is letting the plant grow with your 24/7 light it's up to you but flowering can happen when you put the plants under a 12/12 lighting schedule. Remeber most plants will double or even triple their height when flowered. When you flower you will definitely see sex and if you have females you will get flowers you and I would call them buds.

marijuana is a cool plant
as long as it is getting long "days" it'll continue to "veg" and just grow branches and leaves, and branches and leaves, and more and more =]

but, when the "days" start getting shorter, it triggers hormones in the plants to start focusing on flower production... and putting your plants on a 12 on 12 off light schedule will induce this...

and the flowers are what we are all after... =]

good questions dude... when i first started on here i never had the balls to ask all of those questions-and those were my q's i wanted to ask. lol...

I mean, i've been a pot head for like 7 yrs now.. it was about time to see how it was all done.
no worries and awesome questions. and good luck on the 2 plants it one pot. :S

I think the only missed was "how much will I yield from 2 plants?"

i really think rollitup should make it more prominent on this site... or atleast in the newbie section... or like as a first thing to read after registration... the grow faq

They did its in the newbie section I saw it...I mean at least this guy warned everyone this is gonna sound stupid...so many people that should not come out of the FAQ and newbie section go and ask very basic questions everyday and post it as "the question thats never been asked before" or some dumb shit like that I don't know how everyone keeps it together and doesn't flame them...oh wait yeah I do they get high. On a side note I think they need to add a slap to the smiles on the right after 3 you are restricted to the newbie section for 30 days...just my opinion.
