Angus did you start from seed on your plants that are in the wild? I ask because i found a great spot like yours and was wondering exactly how you did it. Any feedback would be helpful, im ready to start my first grow.

I started them all from seed outside in the back yard. Kept them in 2gal pots until they were about 18". Dug big holes, filled with supersoil, put the plants in and left them.

Everything is looking good. Afghan (which is in flower) has a nute deficiancy. I haven't fed them since I overnuted the mother, so I will feed them on the next watering. Didn't water today as we got some rain last night and it was sprinkling when I got home from work.

Fucking lovely here.

They are almost all shifting into flowering...no deficiencies...weather's been wonderful...very minimal pest problems...no reason to complain my way!

Looks like the ones in the ground will all finish above my head and the ones in containers won't get much larger....just like it should be!

Hope everyone else's fortune has been as good as mine lately.

I'd say the same thing about seeds in NC or SC. Be cheaper than the shipping it takes to order them online.

Haven't been on this thread in a while. The mid grade seeds I found floating around my house in a bag (where I'd put them up) never did sprout. Got some fresh new seeds, but low quality, that I'm gonna work on while I get some real seeds. Grow journal coming whenever I get some sprouted.

I live on the tar river and the soil here is pretty much sand and clay... I attempted growing for the first time this year but all my plants kept dying.... It would either rain to much or either be to hot.... Im starting a compost pile in the fall so the soils covered for the 2010 season but could somebody just give me some tips for growing... also whats the easiest way to hide plants in broad daylight from my parents, my dads a cop?

Good lord, you're asking for trouble!

Go way out in the woods away from your house. Find a sunny spot and dig a couple holes. Fill with good soil and small pot plant. Watch and wait.

don't grow yet...

save money and get your own place

research growing techniques while you save money, and you will be ready when you move...

talk to your dad in the mean time and try to slyly get him to approve of pot.

What's up all? Tha Rev comin' to ya live from the Triad...I've been "pervin" the site for a while for info/knowledge(thanks to everybody who has written strokes of genius that have helped...as well as strokes of "dumbass" that have made me, well...raf out roud), but figured it was time for my first post on here. No better place to do it than the "'Ole North State Grow" post! I've tried to grow a time or two outside but nothing serious. out of the 1-2 plants that I have had, they all seemed to be males. But this year IS different! Been saving some nice bag seed that I've acquired. Germed quite a few, picked out the strongest 5-6, weaned to 3. I got pretty lucky and 2/3 turned out females. Pulled the male early (although it was the biggest), and they've been growing strong since. Don't really have "progression" shots but here are a few the wife took the other day of the biggest of the girls. The "runt" smells real danky and pungent(and not pictured yet), where as this one smells quite "citrusy", so we shall call her Clementine...hehe I'm open to any info/Const. criticism that may be given. Thanks to everybody again. May your harvest be bountiful and the fruits of your labor be sweet and strong.

We all Known a lot of quality dank comes from North Carolina. We have mountains in the west, hills in the piedmont, eventually becoming the coastal plain all the way to the Altantic Ocean. All three regions have very different, yet rich soils. I've smoked some of the best shit ever in Asheville, and have seen beautiful nuggets grown in the sandy soil of tobacco country near New Bern.

If you're in NC and grow outdoor, let's see those pics!

I'll be adding pics of my own once things get rolling.
