Re-vegging plant after harvest

Ok so my indoor growing days are coming to an end ............

But im planning on re-vegging outdoors in a secret location

Ive been reading that when you re-veg after harvest you should leave little buds on and as many leaves as u can,,,, well this plant isnt gonna be a big yeilder so im taking everything thats on it,,,,,,

My question is, whats my best plan of action, i was thinking along these lines

Snip the bud branches off 45 degree angle (and leaving the rest to regrow or take it all the way back to the main stem,?), same for the main cola, ive got some branchs on there with just fan leaves (no bud sites) so leave them be.

Will this work?? any thing i could do to help it survive?? any 1 got any tips/advice??

one of my mates have done that-he stripped all the plant strip naked, leaving only the stem and then he leaved it on his porch.after some weeks, new growths started to come out.now that plant is in his grow cab and doing absurdly well

my god, i bet they would with all that root mass at the beginning of veg. cant believe this isnt more popular, especially with new growers being afraid of cloning. bet they would like to know about this to keep special strains for the future.

cut all your buds off but a couple little pieces of popcorn at the bottom, along with that popcorn leave a couple bottom branches with a few leaves, basically cut the top 2/3rds off leaving the bottom 1/3, start giving it nitrogen

reveging opium now because I need the sativa pheno,replanted and cranked the light and nitrogen up.Its been 10 days and no growth yet.Ive been cloning the more indica pheno for 2 cycles but prefer the sativa.I think it takes three weeks,I left alot of small buds.(wait and see)

That's because it may not be as good as it sounds! A plant can be "revegged" several times, but with each succesive reveg - the yield just keeps deminishing to the point where there "ain't nothin'" left. Besides that, some "reveg's" get "burned out", so the potency suffers. And last (but not least) it may take as long, or longer, to reveg, reflower and harvest as it would to grow a new plant!

ive read some pretty trusted growers reporting no potency or yield loss on revegs. I dont really see any reason it would lose either. Its not like its using tapped out bud sites. Its new growth and established healthy roots. Maybe the shock at first from being trimmed up but after it recovers..

I agree, usually growers that reveg say the potency and yield dont change but the growers that dont reveg say it goes down, you do the math

I've taken clones and tried to re veg , some people have had success ,i have not and would try if i were using there strains and grow mediums ..... i do what i know and have fallen on my face more than i care to tell

I know a few "serious" growers, none of them (including me) reveg on a regular basis. We've all given it up for one reason or another. To each his own!

true, I just dont see any reason to not give it a shot as long as u have the space for the plant. Personally I haven't tried yet but I'm going to give it a try on the next one

IMHO re veg is good if you get a plant you really like & you have no more seed of that strain and took no clones during veg.They make great mother plants.The main prob of re veging as a grow style is the long time frame getting the plant to come out of flower & actually start vegetative growth,also the fact that the longer you keep a plant alive the more rootbound it becomes making repotting & root trimming a real chore.The last plant I re vegged I got 20 nice as hell clones off of it.
Oh,I almost forgot,to make the reveg more successful,lights on 24\0 until it reverts.

reveg rocks. you know what your weed will do, why replace it for seed you dont even know its female, nevermind if its good. reveg is a done deal. and if you let it veg extra longe you can make them bigger. imagine a reveg (which always has branching out the yang. then take clones and veg for weeks....you could grow christmas trees of a known weed or clone the shit out of it and go scrog, then bud again, then reveg, then take clones, all at one time....are you getting the picture?

and agreeing with but adding to kash, as soon as you harvest you take tha regrowth plant out of the pot and hack off the bottom roots and set on new soil and give it a good watering. if you need more details email me. i do this all the time

i have reveged a single plant 5 times. it was 2 years old. what a great mother

When you harvest your plants for the first time, remove only about 1/2 to 1/3 of the very top buds. Leave the little bottom buds and small leaves. Throw the plant back into a vegetative state atmosphere i.e. change light timers and fertilizer. Pay attention and make sure the regenerating plants have enough nitrogen. This should ensure not too many of the remaining leaves will fall off. You should see new leaf growth in about 7 to 14 days. You'll notice the buds getting fatter and maybe adding more crystal to themselves. Allow the plant to grow at least a little bit before you go after those nice new phat buds on the bottom. Some friends have experimented with cloning at this point. It's pretty cool watching a bud get cloned and start to grow again. You can grow your new 2nd generation marijuana plant outside or inside, your choice. It seems 30 days is the going norm for growers to re-harvest. If you are into time schedules for new clones or seedlings and mature buds for harvest, this technique can fill any time gaps waiting for buds to mature. Pretty simple eh?

That's just plain wrong. Absolutely NOTHING about that statement is right. I don't even need to rebuke......I'll just say that EVERYTHING about that statement is the COMPLETE opposite of the truth.

After some reading on revegging I think that the biggest (and perhaps the only?) drawback is the extra time involved. I am going to try revegging a couple of strains I did not clone but kicked myself for not doing so after seeing them flower.

Thanks for the backup....I reveg the two same plants every time. I've taken clones from them, grown them out, chopped em 2/3 down, reveged em again. As long as it's done right, it never loses anything.
In fact, one of them is a clone from the other one.
