Ok im growing in 2, 31 gallon Rubbermaid containers.. and i have it all setup.. i have 3, 2in holes at the bottom for intake.. painted the insides white.. and im currently using 6 26watt cfl bulbs attached 3 on each side.. of the top tub.. i have a temp & humidity thermometer.. (im assuming i stick it somewhere near the top of the plants) and i have a 120mm exhaust fan on the very top above the lights..

so heres my problem

Running very hot .... around 88.3 most of the time.. and around 49% humidity .. im not sure whats wrong.. and i think thats too hot for my babies.. or am i just overreacting .. any suggestions.. would be greatly apreciated.. :wall:

I have 6 seeds germinating as we speak.. i just want to get the temp down .. before too long.. my babies only need like 2 more days.

No he has the rubbermaids tapped on top of eachother as a homemade grow cab correct? So he wants the inside to reflect light because those large rubbermaid deals don't come in white...and gray and blue aren't exactly ideal to reflecting light.

yes... stacked on top of each other.. hmm will an intake fan really make a difference.. because there is a vaccuum effect. from the exhaust fan

will adding intakes do anything..

If the fans don't work you may want to consider getting a portable air conditioner..its really bad for them to get really hot! Temp should stay between 75-78

If your basement isn't finished watch the moisture and watch out for mold!!!

Ok i have it all set in my barn, i have the temp regulated at 72.3 min and 75.4 max. so i've been running with that.. i have 2 sprouting after 4 days of being in the box.. random temps.. from 70-88 in 4 days.. the first one that sprouted.. looked really healthy. Lookin green with a very light pinkish purple stem and has the 2 visible leaves.. and the other one ... not so healthy .. im not sure if it was over moistened in the first few days.. or just temp stress.. but it came out very very white.. and all drooped over... touching the dirt... no visible leaves.. so im gonna raise it to about 1 1/2 inches from the light for a day or two and see if she comes back .. keeping my fingers crossed.. oh .. i am using at the moment 6, 26w all purpose cfl .. do i have the right sprectrum for veg.. or do i need to get daylight 26's and keep those for the flowering .. any help on any of those things.. would be greatly appreciated.. im just super psyched i had results on 2 of the 6 that i potted 4 days ago..
