That depends on soooooo many factors. Seriously its like asking "how long is a string?" there is no way to determine that. I would need a whole lotta info. and then it would be a total guess because phenos can change from clone to clone of the same mother. I mean even light distance has a huge factor in how the height of a plant will be.

how long does it take for a plant to go in flowering stage
depends on alot of things, a sativa can sometimes need 4-5 months flowering, indica 2.5-3 months is about right. some strains take longer to flower than others and may need more time than the *normal* flowering time.

for flower you want a fert high in phosphorus and potassium and low in nitrogen. as long as it has that it doesnt really matter too much what brand it is.

ok what kind of fertilizer can i get from home depot or walmart can i us on the plants
Well I'd like to keep helping you out, but Have you read anything here about growing? It sounds like you really need to spend a few weeks reading everything you can in your spare time. It will help you out tremendously in the grow room. Like fertilizer you asked about, well your not gonna find anything worth it weight in crap there. You need to order Fox Farm or AN or another quality nute geared for growing weed from veg cycles through bloom.

i guess its not as eazy as i thought
Well most people over complicate the grow and it turns disastrous and they give up. If I can give youa piece of advice here is what I'd do if I were you.
1.Get some good bagseed (best you can find)
2.Pretty good soil (nothing too great for first grow)
3.Pick up some cheaper nutes for veg and bloom. For a first bagseed I had pretty good grow years ago with nutes for tomato plants
4.Use cfls to grow. Get a mix of veg and bloom bulbs from home depot or where ever but get several and splitters
5.Plant the seeds without even germing them and take your time and grow
All the while reading on here and asking questions and you'll soon be a pro.
