Has any member ever even heard of this? Do you think it would fly? I am talking a real security guard not say a hired friend.

It would be to guard a grow site in residential neighborhood not a guerrela grow.

Can you hire a armed proffesional security? or even a rent a pig.

I am not thinking about doing this but I was just wondering? what is your take on it?

it's apparently different in cali, i mean look at fdd, he obviously trusts his neighbors or he wouldn't be growing outdoors, so if you legitimately hired a rent a cop, wouldn't they be held liable if they didn't do there job by the security company they work for?

If you feel you need security to grow marijuana you should not grow marijuana.
Its a plant.

every grow should have security of some sort.

Like I said I am not looking to hire security. I was just wondering if you could? some gardens are huge a many many people already seen them.

Again I was just wondering..

i don't see anything legally wrong with this, unless he shoots an intruder, who somehow lives and comes back to sue you. Tell the rent-a-cop that if he has to fire his weapon, "just make sure to finish the job"

most security guards and square bitches that dont smoke weed or do anything and probably want to be cops and will stand guard for 10$ an hour and u dont got to say what there guarding anyways just the backyard or property or put a cat right there and say watch my cat, and u could get him a shooting stun gun thing and some bear peper spray or a shotgun with bean bags tell him that devil worshipers are after your cat and keep your cat by the plants always

Who will the security guard be protecting you from? The police? Well if you are legal in a State you may still have the Feds so will he protect you from the Feds?

If they are not your concern but instead it is that you live in an area that has such high crime that you feel you are likely enough to be ripped off by someone that you need a security guard I might suggest spending that additional amount on a larger monthly mortgage payment or higher rent and move to where you will not need a security guard. Is that a precaution worth taking?

Plus there has to be a very large can of legal worms opened up if someone were to hire a security guard.

If say he does stop a break in and while the criminal or criminals are fleeing he shoots one or more while he/they are fleeing, depending on what State you live in he could be in anything from a little bit of trouble to a whole heap of a lot of trouble since in many States once a criminal is fleeing the other person is not considered to be in any danger at that point so any actions they take that harm or kill the criminal could result in charges placed against them.

Being the guards employer you would have certain connecting liabilities and again depending on State law could also face some charges and also possibly a lawsuit.

Even if the guard did not shoot someone but only roughed them up nicely depending on the circumstances you may find yourself sued and lose and have to pay.

It appears that you would see paying a security guard as something of an insurance policy.

He would protect your medication but you may in fact need a whole separate actual insurance policy to legally have a security guard like that.

If not to be legal it would still be a must to protect you in the eventuality that while in the act of doing his duty protecting your medication he cripples someone or causes some accident where someone is hurt or worse and a sympathetic jury will give the criminal or innocent bystander everything you own and everything you will ever own … including your birthday …. that is unless you have adequate insurance coverage to cover the amount.

Does a security guard really seem like a true value or at least the best value?

I believe many of the Medical Dispensaries have professional security guards. Why not the garden?

why not fence the yard, fence the crop and get a doberman or 2, infect the dogs w/ aids & put them in the yard? cheaper than rent a cop
