I was just reading through Maclean's this morning and I read an article saying that the "Era of Tourists comming to the Netherlands for a weed weekend is comming to a close" The Dutch government is implimenting trial projects that will introduce membership cards for coffee shops. The cards will be required to purchase Marijuana and/or Hash, and it will be restricted to Dutch Nationals only.

Well shit...

Why the hell would these people want to murder their countries tourism revenues. Moronic! Thats the only reason I would ever consider going to the netherlands.

Will never happen. It would contradict European law as being from a European member country I have full right to live work and have have the full rights as a national if I so wish in any European country.

I'm working in an American study abroad universities residence halls in the UK and the faculty are already telling this to the students that it is a law of the country already to stop the students traveling there. I put them right whenever I can.

Don't believe the hype, Amsterdam would go out of business so quick as its the planets pot head capitol. The tourism trade is unbelievable is the dam , they wouldn't want to lose that income.

There was a thread where someone was saying Ghana was the place to be for pot. It was pretty ridiculous.:peace:
Not seen the thread, but please be sure it aint legal in Ghana. Weed is cheap as shit, but it aint green weed, its seedy as hell brown bush weed. I think 4 ounces cost me about 10 ceedes, which is like £5, or $8. Still gets you high though, but still aint legal.

The OP wouldn't hear a word against Ghana
Ghana is a great country and when compared to most African countries its a beacon of hope for the continant. Political corruption is getting better and the people are friendly to forieners. But money talks, its all about the money there. The attitude is if your a white man you MUST be rich, and if a policeman caught you smoking a spliff in all likleyhood you would be handing over a small fortune to keep yourself out of prison.

I love the food and culture of Ghana but the weed aint shit compared to the Dam.
