First grow, CFL + "grow lamp", indoor closet 24/0

Im posting a little late in the process, but i have some pics from earlier along on the way.
I am growing with 2 23 watt CFLs, and one 24 inch "grow lamp" i had bought at a Wal Mart.

I have been moving them outside almost everyday, to get at least 5 hours of good sunlight, and when indoors they have been kept under a 24/0 light cycle.
I'm not sure how to water, so I do it whenever the stems/leaves start to droop downwards and then they lift back up within an hour or less.

Gave them each about 3 fertilizer sticks in the soil from before i planted them (prepped the soil prior).
The levels of are 13-4-5 (N-P-K).

The pictures are a mix from 1 week to 2 weeks.
They are at 4 weeks currently, and I will be posting photos of them soon, they have grown sooo much bigger!!!

yeah i put another one up since i took these, i figured i dont need too much lights in the grow space because i take them out side daily with temperatures at about 80-81 F.
and humidity at about 30.

i will get more pictures soon to show the progress they have made in just a week or two!

Hey man you should lower your lights because looks like you got some streching going on and 2-3 plants in one pot is bad, you should try for 1 plant a pot.

yeah, i wasnt aware of that issue when i planted them, as this was my first time, but i guess my plans now are to grow them together for now, and maybe a male will pop up and i can rip that bastard out, and let the female have the pot to herself.

I also have a question, is changing the soil you first used, like, completely changing it, will it shock the plant more than it would than a regular transplant?

alright here are the updated pics for which they currently stand, i took the pics like 10 minutes ago.
the light contrasts the lens a bit so it looks a lot darker than it really is in there.

dont forget their daily sunshine treatments though ;]

i havent named them yet, but i will soon, more updates to come often

Heeey wait red flag. lol All seems well, but if you let them grow in that pot together, and one is a male, you cant rip him out, the roots will be too tangled, and if you just cut it, the roots will rot and affect the other plant badly....?

ohhh shit, haha wasnt expecting that one, but makes sense, cause roots dont grow back like the stems and shit do right?

well in this case, i will probably transplant soon, maybe in a day or two.

but can anyone answer my question about the change of soil?

i will also start flowering in maybe about a week or two, due to the lack of space. more updates to come soon:weed:

I dont get your soil question.
my question is basically this:

Will changing the soil I am using damage the plants?
I know it will shock them from the transplantation, but i have gotten better soil and want to switch my plants to that soil, since I have to transplant them anyways, which i will probably do today or tomorrow:]

just another update, i should be using a better camera soon so you can see more of whats going on, i got one yellow tip but thats it so far.

any criticism or tips? :leaf:

Alright I finally did it, I used to new soil I got, and added the fertilizer sticks i have been using from the start, I'll probably start foliar feeding here soon, and move to higher levels of P and keep the same high level of N.

I transplanted them into the same pot again, its all I had to work with, since I'm a broke ass.
But the pot is about 3 feet long, so they have a lot more room than they did, and it has a much better drainage system at the bottom.

I had to tear some of the roots apart but not too badly at all. Hopefully it won't affect them too much, I guess we'll have to wait and find out:]

Sorry about the raging dog, he loves the plants.

And i couldnt come up with any names, so I decided to name them after my dog and snake;
the one on the left is moose, and the one on the right is reaper.

I have a question. I have topped one of my plants, and i want to start LST with my other.

I tried bending it to where i wanted it, but it wont bend like i want it, and almost seems like it is going to snap. any way around this?

and also mind you i just transplanted them today, should i give them a day or two to kinda get themselves back together?

Let them veg for like 2-3 weeks. It will only be a foot or two tall.
idk about yield tho.

I thought i'd show their indoor home now. It's not much, but like I said, they also have daily lives outside too:]
i think this is a bad idea. A friend of myn had 4 plants, and kept giving them some natural sun switching from lights to sun all the time. 3 hermied. The constant changing of intense to not so intense might not be good for a CFL grow.

Feel free to correct me pplz. But im pretty sure this is the case.

Yeah, myn drooped a bit when i transplanted. Nothing to worry about.

Well idk about the LST, I;ve got one LST and its just bending, not really close to breaking but it does feel week at first. Just give the babies time to adjust. Patience is a virtue!

yeah i know the yield wont be too much, but this is just a first grow, and for personal use, free weed is free weed you know, whether its an ounce or a bowl. :]
maybe later tries i will go for a big yield.

This somewhat makes sense to me, but doesnt. Idk..
Cause I keep the same temperature in my grow room the same as an average day outside, for stress reasons. But could it be the light intensity you're talking about? I thought all the natural rays and light spectrums from the sun would be a good daily treat for the plants you know?

but yes, +rep to anyone who can give more insight on this;]

yaeh i think im gonna bend over little by little day by day, and not just completely do it at once. ;]

more updates to come soon;]
