From my understanding, 75 watts might be the equivalent wattage, so you might actually have a 13 watt cfl. I'd say look for two 23w or 42w 6500k bulbs and one 23w 2700k bulb. That would be just to start. Eventually more bulbs will help/be needed.

Yes you are correct. they are 26w. I don't know why but I keep thinking 23.

Remember, you can put CFL's almost right up on the plant cuz they give off very little heat.

Good luck. Keep us updated.

I was thinking of doing the same thing, but i wanted to know how to do it with at least one or two lights. I found a 150w CFL at Home Depot today and they also had the lower wattages. Let me know if i could use the 150w and a lower wattage light and be OK?

whichever u use will be fine but the lower watts(26) will add up to more lumens....

nl#5 from highgrade-seeds - got 35 grams dry bud
those cheap GE bulbs are really good - they have a bit extra lumen output per watt - 1750 for 26w - around 67 lumens/watt

Im debating myself what kind of cfls to get. I want to get the 250 watt on ebay I believe its around $100 bux, rather than getting a bunch of smaller ones, although I do know that they are less efficient the higher the wattage.

FYI......You can purchase cfls for less at home depot (compared to wal-mart)...I compared prices when replacing my lights in my home recently.

nice
how long did u veg?
how much was it dry?
thanks, vegged for 19 days - it was 5 inches - was working with a height limit, 30 inches
ended up at 29 inches, 35g of bud
my only regret is i could have ripened it longer - cut with about %5 amber trics - stuff has a bit more of a head rush than i like

walmart is cheaper for me too on cfl's - home depot does have some nice 27w 5500k cfl's that i've found to be very nice for vegging

Must be a special in your area or you got a discount because I looked and compared in my area.....the ones in home depot were cheaper....no cfls at walmart was close to the price you paid.
