Someone found my plants!

I went to check on my plants today, and I noticed a bunch of different trails leading to them, so I decided to approach with caution. My friend and I heart a large group of people discussing about waiting until the plants begun budding, and that they were going to steal the plants as soon as possible! My friend and I hauled ass out of the area, and when we got back, several lines of string were broken that we set, to ensure nobody trespassed onto our area, but I think they know absolutely nothing about growing marijuana because, the plants are budding and they are maturing. Should I just head over immediately (tonight or tomorrow) and harvest ASAP?

eh, are they in the ground or in buckets? If they're in buckets, you could always move them to a better location. If they're in the ground you could cut your potential losses and take it now, or you could be cutting your potential gains by taking early for what could be no reason at all. Yea, if there are trails, then I would probably just cut them. Better early than never

Get a sleeping bag and tent.....that's your ganja dude.
BTW, why would a large group of people even know about your grow?
Lesson # 1...keep it ALL to yourself...share the rewards with only those you LOVE. :blsmoke:

lol never tell anyone! next spring when i am scouting plots in my swamp i'm going to make an in depth tutorial on how to pick a spot... 90% of the people who report stolen plants either A. told somone, or B. picked a spot with too much traffic. If you really want results you sometimes have to put a lot of work into finding a spot NOBODY wants to walk through. smelly swamps, full of poison ivy, stinging nettle, thorny bramble, vast distances and other things that keep random hikers out.

i'm sorry it happened too you, next year, just work even harder! pic an even better spot and never ever tell anyone!

you can also invest in a plugger (GPS) so you can go to them from any direction you choose.

lol - its common sense... if you walk away from your plant when there are people around it, you are innocent...

if you go start shoving them around and giving them shit about the plant... you are essentially admitting guilt...

and then yeah - possibly assault charges with your tresspassing charges and cultivation charges...

LOL

So your telling me if you had a few pounds of weed that was flowering and you went to go water them and feed them and you seen someone there and these people were talking about taking your plants when they start budding...they are rippers. You either kick there ass then move your plants or just move them.......I opt kicking ass then moving....in my case I have to many growing to just up and move them...and if I caught someone in my garden I'd probably have to make them into plant food.:fire:

if i had a few lbs of bud growin outdoors and i caught some people saying they were going to rip them i 100% would not confront them...

plants come and go... not worth doin' time... i would chop them myself early, then grow indoors, to completely avoid this problem.

this problem is the indoor equivalent of your very religious inlaws stumbling across your 4KW grow room... then you say you gonna slap your mother-in-law and punch your father-in-law in the gut... and tell them they are dead if they say anything to anyone... not effective.... and a BIG deal.

did you like that analagy... sheeiiit... lol

First off.... if someone I knew lets say the inlaws find it and its outside im sure they are not going to say lets cut it down and steal it.........and if soooo I would definitely lay a smack down and my wife would have no problem with that, same thing would happen if they found my growroom(when I had it) ....Second off, I know people who do this as there LIFE, growing marijuana is a way for them to provide for there family cutting a crop early is not a choice if they find you. these are the ones who will shoot to kill if you go in there garden............Third off I think everyone would agree with me when I say growing outdoors is time consuming and really stressful. especially guerrilla grows. I DON'T DO THIS FOR FUN...YES I SAID IT!!! I DON'T GROW MARIJUANA FOR FUN......If you are doing it for fun and games and someone finds your crop, cut your crop early and have a hard time selling or smoking premature buds. If I have more then 10,000$ worth of bud......Which is a small grow ...and I find you in my garden of green and i hear you plotting to take it.......FUCK THAT im not going to run away ....and if i were going to run away it would be after I know who you are.....:blsmoke:

AIMEE GREEN

Infuriated that burglars swiped several pounds of marijuana from his Milwaukie home, Bradley John Poppino decided something had to be done. And it certainly wasn't going to involve the police.

Authorities on Thursday outlined what they say happened next:

Poppino went about setting a trap, figuring the bandits who'd left behind more than 50 of his marijuana plants would be back. He parked his car down the street, so it would look like no one was home, and enlisted the help of a neighbor, Andrew Paul Kester, to keep an eye out for intruders. And he sat down on his couch. And waited.

Three men eventually showed up, encountered Poppino and Kester and bolted. But Poppino, 43, and Kester, 27, tackled one of the men, Paul Abelino Canul, 18.

Canul said in an interview Thursday that he pulled a gun but that the men grabbed his weapon and dragged him back to Poppino's garage, where they duct-taped his wrists and ankles and kicked him to the floor.

Canul, who was in Clackamas County Jail on Thursday on $100,000 bail and charges of attempted burglary and unlawful possession of a weapon, described the next six hours as a harrowing ordeal. Poppino and Kester, also in jail under $250,000 bail and kidnapping charges, declined to comment.

According to Canul, the men threatened to hurt his family; forced him to call his friends and order them to return the stolen pot; and threatened to cut off a toe for each hour that went by without their marijuana returned. While using the phone, Canul covertly passed hints about his location.

When time passed without return of the marijuana, the men invited over a third man, who duct-taped Canul's eyes shut and threatened to use a chain saw to cut him into itty bitty pieces.

"He said: 'No body? No evidence,' " said Canul, referring to the rougher tone of the third man, whom police haven't identified. "I'm not a very religious guy, but I prayed."

Then, Canul said, he passed out.

When Canul awoke, he said the men were running out of energy. The yelling and the swearing had died down and then men started talking about ordering a pizza, Canul said. Then he heard a car pull up to the house.

"I think 'OK, maybe my homeys are here and they're going to knock some skulls, and we're going to get out of here,' " Canul recalled.

But it was Clackamas County sheriff's deputies, who were anonymously alerted to the situation. Police seized 50 marijuana plants from the home, more than seven times the limit allowed by the medical marijuana card that Poppino cited in his defense.

"It's a bit unusual when everyone involved is a victim and a defendant," said Chris Owen, the prosecutor handling the case.

Authorities have not determined whether the marijuana-growing operation was criminal, but Detective Jim Strovink, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said such scenarios are common in the drug underworld: Drug dealers know they are targets, and they're ready to retaliate.

Canul said although he's angry about the ordeal, he can't say he didn't have it coming.

"I'd be pretty mad if someone stole my pot," Canul said. "If I was in their shoes, I'd probably have done the same thing."

the pot thief gets off easier...

but shit... i'm just being logical... if you see someone by your plants go chop them up kill bill style... but nobody will want to smoke your bloody buds.
