Anyone know anything about pre-veg sexing?

Hey I am sproutin' about 14 plants, but do not have room enough to 'Sea of Green' them in my grow spot.... I got to thinking that, since you have to grow the plants out first before you bend n tie em, is it possible to start these sprouts out on 12/12 and sex them early, so by the time I get to bending them for the Sea-- I can tell their orientation and not waste room on the males.

Anyone tried this? Any tips, ideas?

Misc. Info : Non- femenized Strain seeds(obviously), growing the sprouts in Rockwool cubes... planning on bending them over after the 3rd or 4th set of leaves. Plants are under 6- 4' 40W daylight spec. floros.

I don't know about the SOG, but I have put one batch of plants on 12/12 from seed, because of space constraints - they sexed for me right around five weeks, but I have heard of plants sexing sooner - has to do with the strain as well I think.

One question tho... How tall did they get you after 5 weeks on 12/12?

Mmmmm - right around 18" - but they have almost caught up to my plant i vegged for 8 weeks - here, the first pic was right around the 5th week mark, the 12/12 ones are in front - and second pic shows one of them now - just 6" or so shorter than my older girl. They would probably have yielded better had I not done it, but since I didn't have the space, I'm ok with the result.
