Ventalation !

Ok so I have my mh light 6 feet from my seedlings it is emitting a lot of heat so I hooked up my centrafungal (idk about spelling) I bought it for my carbon filter, it's a 4" fan and I have 6" ducting I bought a 6"-4" adapter but it's not fastening onto the fan and the 6" ducting isn't fastening to the 6" adapter please help

Y didnt you get 4" ducting to attach to your 4" fan?

I have no idea what to say to the OP except maybe just get it as close as possible and duct tape the hell out of it. iunno.

yeah i would say duct tape.
are you using hose clamps..?
if not, that is most likely your problem.

I have the duct clamps but it won't fasten around the fan I screwed it as tight as I could get it

You need smaller screw clamps.
Don't use duct tape on ducts.. it's one of those F#$ked up things... go get aluminum tape.. a little more money, but that shit never falls off and you're sure it's airtight.

what kind of temps are you dealing with?
