Opinions on my seedlings

Hi all,I have started my grow of 4 easy ryder's. They were germinated in soil 9 days ago, and peeked from the soil about 6 days ago. Do these look normal/healthy? The stems seem weak, will they strengthen if i have an oscillating fan on them or should I be tying them up to a stick to straighten them? Thanks!!Here's a link to the pics: https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/242237-first-grow-5x-easy-ryder.html
You're doing the right thing so far, they are just stretched a little reaching for the light. I think a lot of people start out with a fluorescent tube or a couple CFL's the first week or so for that reason, just because the MH light is so intense, the distance away will make your babies stretch.
When you replant them, bury the stem to the first set of leaves, they'll be fine. In the meantime - if they get too stretched to stand, you can tie them gently to a toothpick.:peace:

Thank you for your response, glad to hear I'm on the right track as this is my first grow. Would adding a little soil to keep the stems straigter now be a good plan? I just added my cooltube on Tuesday, so I was able to lower the light to about 24" above the plant (didn't want to go too close, but could go to 12" if it would help).

Yep, add the extra soil - it will help them stand. Cooltube was a great idea. Ease it closer each day, so long as they aren't showing stress. Make sure your fan isn't blowing directly on them, unless it's very very gentle. No worries - I stretched my first batch - they were tryin to reach the sun, lol. (Sad lookin weren't they) You do wanna try n stop the stretching though, if you can - I could be wrong but I think I read somewhere on here that if they stretch too far they will die.:peace:

O wow those were stretched! How did they look when they were harvested, or did they not get there?

Update: I added some soil and the stems have strengthened up nicely. See my grow thread in my signature for a picture update.

Does it appear that they are growing at the rate they should be? For 20 days they seem a bit behind, but I guess I can contribute that to the rocky start while I got my tent together.
