Ok buddy i did think that the amount of light wouldnt be enough what would you recomend for the grow space that i have for flowering??? may i let you know that when i say its a 250watt CFL i meen that how much wattage it uses i think it actualy puts out near on 800 watt. im not sure if that make any difference. i have also got a light intense metter and i have placed it in all 4 corners of the grow room and it is showing up with 2550 in each corner? once agian i dont know if this is ok??

like i said i am a first timer and i need all your help please to get a nice grow.

Thank you in advance

that enough light for sure just make sure not to grow your plants too big. Grow them until you see sign of sex (preflowers) thats about 4-6 weeks. Clone then if you want and put into flower. the plant will be about 1.5 feet tall by then. If the plant hight becomes an issue during flowering there is many ways to combat that.
As the plant are flowering you may see some corners that need more light. Its east to add another smaller CFL Like a 45 or 65 watt to brightn up those dark spot

You have enough light for flowering, but how many of those do you intend to flower and at what size?
I see a lot of plants.
What are you using for medium?
Sorry so many Q's just trying to help.

Well i was hoping that at least 4 / 6 of my plants to become female, the man i bought my grow tent from he said i should be able to get about 6 / 8 plants into the grow tent. And as for the hight i dont really see an isue as the tent is 2m hight so plenty of hight and if i need to i can always get another 250watt CFL light for £45. The grow medium i am using is called Levingtons seeding compost it is pr-mixed with sand & a few nutes but not sure wich ones.

The plants at this stage look really healthy to me all leaves are pointing up right no yellowing on the leaves edges at all.

I think some plants are a little stretched but am i right in beliving that i can sort this out when i transplant them into bigger pots????

I see stretching. Never mind burying the stem for stability, keep them strong from the beginning. Need to get them closer to the light.

Totally agree.
You might want to think about a sog or scrog. Getting plants tall is easy, getting enough light to budsites is the trick.

Those tubes might be able to get a little bit closer even, my tubes are not "high output", (yet.. maybe I'll get them haha)
and they are almost cool to the touch. a little warm if on for a long time. I've even had my plants touching for a little while and no burning whatsoever.

Hope this helps.

Ok guys i will take your advice and i will lower the light in the morning so it is 1inch from the top of the plant i dont want to risk putting it any closer. and will these lights be ok for the whole of the veg stage???

That's what i'm doing, if I had the money I might invest in an HPS or something for flowering or to go along with my fluorescents but I don't mind not having to pay a huge power bill and also I don't have to deal with heat issues.

Hi guys quick updet

I took my plants out of the little 2 1/2" pots they were in and put them into 1ltr pots for now untill my 5 litr pots arrive from ebay. Since i put them into the bigger pots they seem to have grown alot more in the 3 days. One of the leaves has a yellow edge this is nothing to do with the plants health, over night the plant must have grown and when i woke in the morning the leave was touching the light.

Do my plants look healthy??? if not please give advice on how to get them nice and healthy.

I am looking to veg them for about 4 to 6 weeks as i want to try and get some big plants that will give me a nice yeild. I was thinking of maybe 2oz per plant. do you think i could achive that with my setup??

ive added some pic of the 12th day from seed

nice and healthy seedlings...i'd like to see how your top 44 crop turns out...should start looking to feed nutes around 4 weeks old...when are you going to flip to 12/12? maybe start them at 1/4 strength grow nutes now, and build up till youre ready to flower...i'd say switch to 12/12 at 6 weeks old...

I was going to switch over to 12 / 12 at about 6 / 7 weeks into veg. Do you think these plant would have shown there preflowers by then?? if so im going to keep 1 female to on side for clones and flower the rest. I chose the Top 44 seed as it is surpose to be good for beginners, so ill keep you posted with pics to see how they turn out in the end.

Good luck mate, looking nice so far

I'm subscribed. I have similar setup and am about 5 days behind you so will be watching this closely. And poaching advice you get
