So me and a buddy have been talking about growing since high school. This was our first ever attempt, and lets just say that things didn't go quite as we had planned.
A few months ago we had permission from a guy to pick mushrooms on his property (he has about 30 acres with horses). We wondered off his property into some woods. About 200 yards into the woods we came to a fairly large clearing with a creek just below it and we started talking about how it would be a perfect place to grow.
A couple days later my buddy called me up and said that his guy would GIVE us 20 clones if we bought the soil and did the work...I said hell yeah. We bought 20 bags of soil (split between 3 people was about $40 each). The next night we drove out to the spot, stopped on the side of the road and tossed them over the fence. Then we got dropped off by my buddies girlfriend and hauled the bags about 3/4 of the way in and called it a night. A couple days later we went in during the day, while one of us was digging holes the other was packing the soil the rest of the way in. We finished 18 holes and filled them with dirt that day. The next night we were once again dropped off and this time we had the plants, 18 of them. So we planted and decided to haul out the 2 extra bags and we would each keep a plant home, kind of a back-up plan I guess.
When we got back that night we were talking about it and my buddy decides that he doesn't want to keep one at his house, he was just too paranoid about it. So now I have 2 plants to take home with me...cool.
For the next two months we are getting dropped off 1-2 times a week to water and check up on our grow. I have to admit that these night missions were a lot fun. We went out one night after not being out there for almost 2 weeks and found that they were starting to flower. It was pretty exciting and we decided to come back the next day, during the daytime to get a better look at them and to get some better photos. We did, and everything seemed fine, they were getting big. We got a late start on the season (we didn't plant until early June) so our biggest plants were about 5' tall. We were feeling pretty good about it. One week later we decide to go in during the day again. We cross the horse field (which we still have permission to use), cross the fence and walk through the woods, its about a 15-20 minute walk to our spot. I remember every time we went in there the first plant you could see was a big blueberry off to the left, but this time I looked over and the 5 footer was GONE. I said to my buddy "it's gone" as I look over to where another 5 plants once were, "they're all gone". I look down at a hole in the ground, half filled with soil, the rest of the soil is next to the hole, and inside I see a little card. I picked the card up and hand written on there it said: "your on camera" and below that "call me"...I flip it over and it's a fucking county sheriff's card. We threw our shirts up over our faces and hauled ass outta there, never to return.
That was about 2 weeks ago now and we are left with just the 2 "back-up plan" plants. I've been taking pics of these two the whole time I've had them so I guess I'll make a grow journal. One is blue berry and the other is purple urkel.
sorry if this is unreadable, I'll look over it later and add a whole bunch of pics (I have about 200 of them).
here are some pics of the ladies that the cops stole from us.
