Are MMJ patients paying illegal prices?

25 $ wont even pay for the electric bill dude thats not a reasonable price think about it i wouldnt even care if i made a profit just would like to get the money back that i use to grow thats all
IMHO private individuals just wanting to make money have no right to even have there pinky toe anywhere near the MMJ community.. If you want to make money, get a "real job".. If you want to help sick ppl then grow MMJ... Dont get the 2 twisted.. I guess its hard to tell a drug dealer to stop being a drug dealer though...
As I stated above, Sunlight, rain and dirt are free.. the "desiganated, regulated" grow ops can be huge outside farms that could supply the entire nation with MMJ for pennies on the dollar.. It is possible and feasible IMHO..
Until it becomes 100% "legal", I do not think there should be any emphasis on the profit from MMJ whatsoever... Once it becomes legal, then its a totally diff story.. Let the price wars begin.. But of course, we all know prices will be very reasonable for the majority of it.. Unless the Gvt. adds an insane tax on it like 300% or something.. Which wouldnt surprise me either.. Everyone wants a piece of the pie..

ok like people having money for solar panels no they dont be reasonable here guys people cant grow for free ya kno we need reasonable prices to pay for the growing thats not making profit that payin for the essentials

In reality, all of the MMJ for every patient in the U.S. could be grown outside in California.. The weather is perfect.. Why do ppl think MMJ has to be grown inside ?

could be, should be, would be......We're talking about now man, not your dreams. And I think there are a lot of people here on RIU that would take issue with you saying to get a real job. Seriously. I help sick people by growing the strains they want in a 100% organic environment and in a way that they can ingest as little as possible to get the desired results. I just want reasonable compensation for my time. I would think you would have a bigger beef with the dispensaries that are just retail establishments.

im with you can.i.buz .... i believe we should at least get the compensation for the essentials i dont even care to make a profit because i have a regular full time job ,,.. and i grow as a hobbie which if i could help peeoples sickness that would make me feel extreely GREAT BUT i would need to be paid to perform the duties of the growing so that i can keep the grow going

lol... thats like... "I wanna help this guy that has just been stabbed by taking him to the emergency room in my car.. But the asshole doesnt have gas money.."

hahaha gd that was an aswesome analogy. Damn I crack myself up. muahaha

holla

Being a caregiver IS NOT A JOB.. Its a CHOICE.. You can choose not to.. Which maybe you should.
First of all, being a caregiver is RARE. Have you read the law. Very few people actually qualify as a caregiver. What do YOU think it means? And so your attitude is that everyone that is not a caregiver should not grow? Can I get some back up here?????

I dont know what YOU are i was just using that as an example.. And please define "very few" ....Actually, getting qualified as a "MMJ caregiver" is just as easy as getting an MMJ card imho.. so I dont really know what you mean

when I said caregiver above I wasnt referring to an actual registered MMJ caregiver.. I meant it in the sense of caring for sick people ( I hope that sounded right )

ill back u up .. yes its a choice and not a job but...

people will stop choosing to be a caregiver if they cannot afford it so i think there should be enough compensation to pay for at least half of the grow which agian 25$ is not enough and just because im not a caregiver doesnt mean i shouldnt grow

As I said.. I think there should be designated fed or state ran and regulated growing facilities for MMJ.. Along with private ran grow ops and dispensaries ( also regulated to a point of course ).. This way the patient has a choice between paying high prices from private ran places or "25.00 an OZ" from the state/fed ran ops.. Ok, look at it like this.. It will be like being able to choose between name brand pharma meds or the cheaper "generic" meds that are basically the same damn thing.. I hope this helps clear up my statements even further.

I am pro choice 100% across the board.. The more choices an individual has ,the more power they have.

WRONG

In affirming Mentch's convictions, the Supreme Court ruled that in order to qualify as a primary caregiver under California's Compassionate Use Act, Proposition 215, Mentch would have had to assume the responsibility for a patient's housing, health, or safety, or some combination of the three, in addition to providing them with marijuana.
”There has to be something more to be a caregiver than simply providing marijuana,” the Supreme Court ruling quotes the trial judge as saying. “Otherwise, there would be no reason to have the definition of a caregiver, because anybody who would be providing marijuana and related services would qualify as a caregiver, therefor giving them a defense to the very activity that's otherwise illegal, and I don't think that makes any sense in terms of the statutory construction, nor do I think it was intended by the people or the Legislature.”

dude everyone knows that law is hardly ever if ever enforced.. I know a half a dozen caregivers and none of them house or feed etc the ppl they grow for.. And they are legal.. .. But even with that said, that doesnt make getting liscensed to be a caregiver any harder than getting a MMJ card . But the discussion in general isnt even about liscensed MMJ caregivers , but more so about the people growing to supply dispensaries..

If were gonna start quoting pen codes this is gonna turn into a pissing match

You just lost a lot of credibility
Dude I dont give a flying fig about "credibility".. Im not a gangsta rapper that is worried about his "street cred"...I am just stating my opinions.. And opinions are like assholes.. Everyone has one.. But most of them stink..

I myself am a MMJ patient for cancer.. If I could buy my medicine legally for 25.00 an OZ then I would love it.. Period.
