My last ditch effort plants

bra.. why is it there is no stretch in the nodes? is it because it gets enough light?

They were only about 1-2 inches tall when I put them outside and they began flowering almost immediately after putting em out there. Well they are getting enough light and they think that light is close but we know it isn't .

This is a good outdoor growing question though:
Why don't plants growing outdoors stretch like the ones indoors can do when the light is too far away during veg?

well it seems i can make the ones i grow indoors stretch alot less then the plants i grow outdoors..is it just cause i bend them and put the light closer or is it cause when i grow outside there is alot of shade involved...

you also said they were 1-2 inches...how old were they i think you mentioned it earlier

They were about 9 weeks old when I put them outside to see if they would do anything else and only about 1-3 inches tall at that time. Now they are about 8 inches tall and packing on little nugs.

what i dont understand is how they can be so small at 9 weeks old...if you grow them they deff would strectch or have more sets of leaves or soemthing...and if they were kept in the dark they would be lnaky and no good.i dont get it

These plants came from a grower friend of mine and he did nothing to them once they sprouted. When I got them they were already 6 weeks old and with major problems. He didn't take care of them cuz he was too busy using other horrible drugs to pay attention to these plants, they came to me real retarded and now they aren't so retarded, lol. But they are old for their size and it is fun watching them produce their 1/8. This is the first time I've grown outdoors so I wasn't sure about these plants when I first through them out there. I only knew that I wasn't going to spend any more money (electricity) on them.

Basically yes. There were 6 and all 6 were crammed into 1 party cup and in MG soil w/ a full family of spider mites. The only root they had was the tap, nothing more. Their main stems were dry and could snap but the top growth was dinky and green. The first 3 weeks I had them they were transplanted into ffof soil and put into my veg room and they would not bounce back at all, but they were barely alive. So I just through them out side after much effort trying to save them indoors and they took off.

These tiny plants have about a month or so left, but for putting them out so late in the season they are filling in nicely, proud parent here.

Cool little plants, Bra. I'm growing a little plant outdoors too. It's an Easyryder, so it's supposed to be relatively small. However, I think it's even smaller because it was started late in summer.

Another cheezy...if there is a seed and there definately could be, I'll send it your way.
Living in Cali and having about 5-6 neighbors that have the same hobby there could have been some pollen flying around. If there is one there is 2, i'll keep 1.

The gut that gave em to mae said they were the purps, but they don'y look like the purps to me. It will all be smokable purp or not.

We do and it's a blast. We get real loud about it too. Basically it's always who knows more than the other, who's is bigger, and when's harvest time. They yeilded way more than me this time around, damn it! But I must admit their plants were alot bigger because they had more veg time outdoors than I did.

We also help each other out with plant problems, lighting, ventalation, and ph pens. But we do not help each other at harvest time---oh no we won't share like that, too many kick downs have to take place then. We know when the neighbor harvests because he disappears for about 2 days and then the whole block reeks of yummy bud. It's pretty fun and competitive. I'm the only woman around this neighborhood w/ this hobby and all conversations having to do with it are intensly testosterone filled----

cause i feel i would rather have a bunch of tiny little ones grown in like that then a huge one

Do these little plants look ready? It's been raining and getting cold at night, just wondering if you think they look done or not. Hopefull the pics will help you help me determine their doneness.

My thought is that they could be chopped and still have a nice little kick but maybe the outdoor growers expert eyes know the outdoor ready look better than me. Thanks for your help fellas.........

I just checked back to the begging of this thread and noticed that they have been only flowering for a month, feels like alot longer. This is real late in the season but also know alot of big outdoor growers don't even harvest until Thanksgiving, should I wait till first frost like they do apples in Washington? Can't imagine actually getting a frost here in S. CA.

deff not done yet..in the one pictre it still looks like you calyxs are growing and new ones are forming..if you worried about the rain why not cover them?

and if you wanted to check..why nope sample one of the girls..while you watch the rest grow?

Been thinking the same thing, not done. My son took off a small tester and said nope not ready, that was later yesterday afternoon. Wish they were though. Pretty funny how I know how to give suggestions to other growers but don't know anything when it comes to my own, lol.

Main reason I posted this was because it actually felkt like they were flowering longer than they actually were. Once I looked back on the thread I realized the time they had been in flower.

These were started late too. Do you have any pics of yours? I'm not even sure of the strain. Right now they are starting to turn purple. I'll post pics in the morning. Thanks for dropping by.

Definately not ready. You want them swollen and ripe. Banana's still green. You live in socal. You can let those go for a while. +props for adopting. More ppl should.
