Ok so here's my problem I'm growing in my closet ( 7x2 and 10 ft tall) I have a 600w mh I have a centrifugal fan (4in) as my ventalation with a duct running out of my closet and out the bedroom window I have a oscelating fan also when the closet door is closed the temp gets to about 92F (the ventalation is still on I have drilled a hole in the door so my ducting runs out threw the door when it is completly closed, when I leave the closet door open ( oscelating and ventilation still going) the temp is about 86F i was told if I switch my hood to the cool tube the temp would go down about 10 degrees is that true? And also what else can I do to cool the room while the door is closed I don't want to have to keep it open and this is a major problem

The 4" fan is prob not going to cut it with the length of duct run. Whats the CFM of the fan? How many elbows do you have, are you using accoridian type duct? Are you pushing or pulling the air?

Elbows and accoridian duct will drop your fans cfms faster than a fat kid dropping a carrot.

So your primary room cooling is not handling the heat load.

The second issue is that 600 w light.
Yes get a cool tube asap and yes you can expect a huge drop in temp. That light is generating massive heat, I have a 600w on a dedicated 6" in line @ 425 cfms.

Get a bigger grow room in line vent fan, like a 6" @ 425 cfms, eliminate duct elbows if you can (got through a wall as opposed to around it?) and a decent in line light fan, your probs will disappear like the heat will.

No elbows it's a strait shot across the room, I just spent slot of money on all my shit so I don't really want to buy all new stuff, I'm using a rigid 4" dryer exhaust connected to my fan Its pushing not pulling

your extractor fan needs to be removing (sucking) air from the grow room
and not pushing air in ?????????.
if its an extractor fan thats pushing air in to the grow room the you need to turn it around ????????.

Ok when I put it on the ceiling then how can I have it sucking air from up there and the cool tube at the same time
get a small 4" ocillating fan to blow directly on to your bulb (what i do).
and mount the exhaust duct at ceiling height to remove the hottest air.
feel your growroom at the roof with your hand and you will see its much hotter there than floor level. all building extraction systems suck air from the roof.
growrooms are no different.

can I use the fan I have w 171cfm (room only needs 105) if I put it at the top and u think a 4" carbon filter would do the job for the room
