My buds have been curing for about a week now. Before that they hung dry for about three days. I have been taking them out of the jars every day for a little while. I just looked at them closely and their is white fuzzy shit on every bud! WTF! How did this happen? Were they too wet when I jarred them? I have been wondering becasue the damn stems still won't snap, they just bend over. Is the crop lost? This really sucks.

Did you open the jars everyday?
If you did it may have been that it was a bit to wet when you jarred it.

Yea I opened them every day. I guess I just didn't dry them out long enough before. God what a hard way to learn this lesson. 6 months of work for a barrell full of soon to be rabbit food.

I know your problem, you are impatient. Firstly you harvested way too early(i saw your pics in earlier thread) and secondly if you are hang drying it takes at least 5-7 days before you can jar them (depends on humidity in enviornment). Powdery mildew or mold may be the physical culprit but impatience is to blame, stay cool.

I think there is a there on here about spraying H202 on them and it killing the mold because of the oxegen in perioxide... I will look it up for you it was a couple of days ago...

Hydrogen Peroxide? Ive heard of people using it to water their plants and get rid of root rot but can you put it on curing bud? Can you even smoke that?

Ive heard of that but other people say it makes the bud taste more harsh. True? How is it?

waiting is alway better and it is not smooth like butter but you can get an idea of how it is going to taste when properly cured and you will get just as high

Commercial produce companies have the same problem as you have. The common solution in some areas is to put the produce into a closed area, like a refridgerator. Then take a can of engine hard-start either. Shoot a puff in the refridgerator and close the door. Don't use very much either. A little goes a long way. I don't know that this will help your problem. But, if all else fails, what the hell?
