Growbox and heat sink

Hey guys

im planning on making a homemade growbox within the next few weeks,
my current grow is 3.5 weeks old and are sitting on the window sill in the attic.
Currently feeding them lyles black treacle, all looks good

Questionz
- im just wondering is it possible to hook a computer heat sink fan into a normal household socket?

i have an AC->DC Convertor lying about somewhere so maybe that might do the trick?

- Would i need a extra fan to let air into the box via pipe from outside or the window sill?

- And what is the ideal size for a grow box?

Looks nice, im doing about the same thing. How long before you are going to move them to a bigger pot? And how much water do you give them?

Do you mean a fan?

A computer fan runs on 12v. Get a 12v supply from somewhere like radio shack.

A heat sink is simply a clump of metal that attaches to computer chips to help cool them. A fan is sometimes attached to heat sinks to improve cooling.

Looks nice, im doing about the same thing. How long before you are going to move them to a bigger pot? And how much water do you give them?

im gona give the biggest plant another week then im gona transplant into its final pot. i water them about once every 3 days untill the soil is slightly moist, then i give them abit of the Black Treacal mixture but not too much. dont wanna put them in too much shock.

i connected one of these up to the motherboard on my computer and the connection was a small plastic casing with alot of different wires inside it. i cant see how its going to be connected up that is why i am asking is it possible?

i guess il give it a go anywayz
ill pick one up down in PC World for a few euros
