Hello,

Glad to see pictures. Your plants look healthy for the most part.

I want to throw my .02 cents in here really quick and see what you think.

Do you have holes on the bottom of the plastic cups? You may need drainage, this will also allow oxygen to get to the roots.

Remember to allow them to get nearly fully dry before watering, they have a little bit of signs of being a little too moist. I do this a lot too, your plants will recover and be ok though, new growth will look uniform after getting a few more roots in the medium. Water with pure water until there is run off. Also, try not to get water on the leaves with the lights on, it will act like a magnifying glass and burn the plant.

Just an idea, when the plants start to put out a few more true leaves try and lower the lights a bit, it will make the new growth more compact.

Mylar, or white plastic placed under and around the plants will reflect more lights onto the plant. You can get some cardboard and cover it in mylar or white plastic and place it near the plants, this makes a mobile reflector so you can move it as the need for space increases. You can get mylar from the dollar store in the bag stuffing isle.

Looks like you have a lovely room and have done an awesome job in light proofing! I'm concerned about the electronics though, I suggest either placing them up high or in a rubbermaid container with the top off and running the cords up and in over the edges, this is just for safety and because I'm anal :). This will keep you and your equipment safe. A ballast generates heat so if you can move it to another area that would be even better but I'm guessing you want everything in one place and well hidden.

Be careful of the pot with two plants in it, I suggest transplanting them into a window planter that is wide. Then LSTing them to grow apart.

Air circulation, I recommend a fan blowing on the plant and a system to vent air out and recycle air. Your room is nearly sealed, it would only take an inline fan of suffienct CFM a DIY carbon scrubber and some flexible dryer ducting to have a simple cheap system setup. Later in the grow you may want to look into making a cool tube and moving that fan to the plants canopy. Plants with constant movement grow stalkier and will support more bud growth.

Looks like your well on your way.

Yes, their are drainage holes in the bottom of each cup. I originally did this so I could tell when the soil was moist.

I went to wal mart and bought a container, you will see it in the next pics.
Speaking of, they will be posted in my journal.

Air circulation is a problem, and I haven't been able to find a squirrel fan anywhere!
I'm looking for two of them... One for an inlet, one for an outlet. I have a 6 inch oscillating fan which I will add to the room soon as well.

Mylar is on my agenda for today, as the room construction started and finished yesterday. I am not using my attic, im using a small portion of my room.
Ill keep you posted :)

I recommend looking for bathroom fans that are meant to be mounted to the ceiling and giving them a go. As far as how many I would start with two both flowing out and just have passive intake, if the temp is still a problem then cut another intake and add a fan to it. So two active outs and a passive intake (with an extra optional active intake). This will give you the most control over air.

Sounds good, let me know what you come up with.

Hello all at Rollitup!! This is my first time using a forum, and also my first time growing! My first question is this... Is this a decent light to START with?(see Ebay link)
I plan on upgrading to LED eventually, as I have been reading that it is the most light and power effective.
I have also picked up some Miracle grow time release bloom food and Miracle grow water soluble nutrients.
I ordered some White Rhino seeds from Nirvana as well, after reading some posts here, and deciding to put my faith in them. I shall continue to read around the forum, thanks in advance to everyone!!

P.S.
