White Widow//Mama Mia//Skunk [Lo-bay Closet Grow]

hmm even with the smaller base for the regular sockets, don't HID bulbs need the correct ballast to run?

after my last reseach all the info i get points to the bulbs being used in regular home light outlets the ones we are disscusing only use 100watts of power from home base e26 medium base sockets....High Pressure Sodium - Medium Base Light Bulbs
Rated Life: 16000 Hours. Base: E26 - Medium Screw (standard household base). Length: 5.43 Inches. Diameter: 2.125 Inches. Bulb Type: E17 ...
www.buylighting.com/High...Medium-Base-s/304.htm - Cached - Similarhey i hope this works because they have hps and mh in this range..could save money and energy in the long run.....peace pot prosperity

They don't look like they're gonna be insane yielders but I'm satisfied with how smoothly this grow has gone. Don't the buds look a bit underdeveloped for almost a month into 12/12 though?

I think they are coming around nicely.
They are getting frosty already.
You will see some good fattening really soon.:blsmoke:bongsmilie:mrgreen:

Thx man thats good to hear. Would trimming some of the lower 'buds' that don't get enough light lead to more food being available for the top to get a bigger main cola?:joint:

Pics coming tmr :eyesmoke:

you were right i guess the saying goes if its to good to be true than wah lah lol im going to go ahead and get the 150wat hps for 70.00$ 15.00 to ship and be happy if i cant control that temp i should not be growing..lol peace pot prosperity

sorry in responce to the 70watt hps we were disscusing...no go PPP

Buds in full bloom now, visibly packin it on everyday :eyesmoke:

BUD SHOTS

1. bagseed skunk - 1 main cola with 3 mini colas.. hard to see because of the way the stem was allowed to grow thanks to heavy LST until last week

2. white widow - as other growers have found out before me, these ones dont like nutes. Feeding them with the same mix as the others caused all the WW plants to burn slightly.. yellow botches in the middle of fan leaves and a lot more leaf curling than the others. Buds are the biggest though :eyesmoke:

3. mama mia - one of these began to grow three branches instead of 2 starting from the 3rd node or so.. other one grew normally. I don't know much about plant biology but I suspect a wayward drop of concentrated superthrive that landed bang in the middle of the top messed up/overdosed the hormones/auxins/growth thingy caused this.. the nodes at the top became extremely tight until there was almost no stem between them, this is why it looks bunched up now.. anyone with any insight into this?

Closet canopy - threw the 2700k 50w cfl back in there for the 3 younger WW plants. They're comin along nicely too but the buds are a few days behind and are smaller than the older ones.. you can see them a bit at the back

Comments appreciated :eyesmoke:

Thanks man
The widows and mama mia are meant to be 8-9 week strains.. so another 3-4 weeks at least, but I have to harvest these a week or so early as I'm having relatives coming to stay :-?.. sucks but I have no choice

hey that does suck but you can always give it a bomb cure get a good dry and get the mason jars out 4-5 days drying 3-4 weeks cure in mason should do some real good and i bid you a fond peace pot prosperity... got a long weekend see you all monday......ppp:peace::joint::mrgreen:

Yeah thats the plan .. I'm not a fan of the lethargic couchlock from more mature bud anyway

Now in week 6 of flowering.. seem to be having some soil ph problems causing some nute lockout. Whats the best way to correct this at this stage? (I've been lazy and haven't even thought about ph until now)

The bagseed buds are beginning to give off that sweet skunky smell that I am too used to . I get a whiff of it everytime I enter the room.. the WW and mama mia don't smell as strongly

Chopped a few of the lower underdeveloped mama mia buds to try, nowhere near ready but still got a decent buzz out of them :eyesmoke: They weren't getting enough sunlight anyway.. hope I'm not stressing the plant too much by doing this though..

PICS

quick question: which would result in more photosynthesis and therefore more growth?
Under sunlight at 55 degrees temperature, or under a 250w hid 4" away at 75 degrees?
