I have a 400 watt setup. One md bulb and one hps bulb. I have a 2 1/2' x 3' x 7' grow box.I have good ventilation w/ exhaust and fans. I want to know how many plants this would support. That gives me a little over 7000 lumens and 50watts per square foot of grow space. I want to have six plants, but am now thinking about four instead. Any help would be nice.

go with six..you have just enough room, and the light will be just enough...it will be just right....

4 may be too much if u let them grow past a foot and a 1/2 the light will only penetrate the first 12 inches you can lst them and it will help alot and give u much better results as well

it is enough for 6 fully mature large plants? if so why isnt my 600watt hps not getting the bottoms of my 4 3 foot plants
i didn't say it would be enough for 6 3 footers...more like six plants that finish at 18" to 2 feet and start flowering at 6-8"...:mrgreen:

I'm gonna start flowering at 12". I figure I have 1 foot for the pot, 1 foot of space above the light, 18" between light and plant = 3 1/2'. That leaves me with 3 1/2 feet of grow space. If i flower at 12", I'll have 2 feet left for it to grow. Is that enough?
