She is 14 days old, about 2-3" tall.
Easyryder fem seed.

The leaves arent' yellow or brown..they are nice and green but they are all pointing downward. I thought it could be my lights..they are above the plant but not directly above it..kinda out to the sides a bit.

What's your soil pH?

over-watering is likely. Let the soil dry out between waterings. Roots don't like to be wet all the time.

give it more light and dont water it until soil is drydry, i did a test and i would leave my plant until the soil got bone dry and then load it with water and the next day it would be real bigger, i now have a 5 foot tall plant

hmmmm....my soil meter said it was almost dry so i watered it today...so if i have been overwatering..i really probably killed it today. The top inch or two of the soil was bone dry by touch anyways...
I'm not sure what the soil ph is....with this being my first grow i wasn't gonna spend a lot of money and try to learn everying at once.
I'm using cfl lighting...right now i've got 6 27w 6500k and 2 27w 2600k bulbs. They are about 3" from the plant..thats as close as i can get them for now.
MG organic soil

i just planted anohter germinated seed about 2 days ago in a smart pot and fox farm ocean soil...i'm gonna compare the 2 as they grow.

if you put a fan on low so the seedlings get a little breeze they wont grow so spindly

Your soil meter is shit. How can you trust that cheap piece of shit? They are designed to ruin MJ grows.

How big is that pot anyway? It's better to start growing in something not much larger than the seedling. Then you can water lightly and check the pot by lifting it. When it's light again, water again.

I've never used it, but I've seen threads where people had problems with seedlings in ocean forest; the nutes in there can slow down early growth even though they are great once your plant really gets going in veg. If I were to use it I would start them in a neutral seedling mix and then transplant them into Ocean Forest once they were a little bit bigger.

This is definitely second-hand info here. I don't grow in soil.

They are in 2 gallon pots. From everything i've read on here and ohter forums, and what i read on the order page for these autoflowering seeds..it says its best to start the autoflowers in their final pot right from seedling. Have i been reading the wrong stuff? If one of these 2 don't grow and produce i'm done trying to grow my own stash. Afterall, they are weeds so if i can't grow them i'm in trouble :) I'll just not water them for about a week and see what happens.

well i thought i'd try and transplant the over waterd plant to a new container with better drainage and dryer soil
it was definately over watered...roots were all brown and mushy. I don't think its gonna live by the looks of it. I'll give it a few days and see what happens.
My ohter germinated seed has been in soil for about 3-4 days now. Still nothing popping out of the soil. Hopefully it sprouts in a few days.
If the one i transplanted died i'm not gonna replace it until the new one sprouts and starts to flower

apparently i have no green thumb at all. Its a weed for gods sake...it should grow under almost any circumstance...all other weeds do :(

I didn't notice you were growing autoflowers. Yes, the final pot size is good. But you see from your roots that it was easy to overwater. This is the biggest noob mistake; now you've made it and you can move past that!

Don't give up so fast.:peace:

haha It's cool bro you can develop your green thumb here @ RIU. Don't rely on a cheap BS soil meter like shnk said. Try to water them as little as possible when they are at that stage, make sure the soil is nice and dry cause those roots need to expand looking for moisture, not being soaked in water... Just let the plant dry out and you may be alright if the root rot isn't to severe, will delay your vege growth quite a bit though.

ATM I have 5 GWS & 3 Mazar seedlings in Fox Farm Ocean Forest Soil and they are thriving, however last grow i used MG soil with seedlings and they did fine as well... but 4 weeks into Flowering the MG fucked me., wil never use it again. :leaf:
