So, here's the thing. I pretty much don't drink. Couldn't STAND beer til my husband made his first homebrew (there is still nothing that compares). Anyway, I don't care for being drunk most of the time.

My husband, on the other hand, doesn't smoke. But I'm a major head (ok, maybe not major, I don't smoke it to my head I just get my buzz on).

So, what kills viable pollen, or what terms should we be searching on?

what kills pollen.

fire. kills just about anything else too.

uv bombardment. without a fibered surface to worry about, if you empty and clean the rooms contents, intense exposure to massive uv light (no not black lights, UV bulbs)

unhealthily high ozone levels. ozone generator, can be generated using a few methods, the most popular being arc discharge and uv light.

extreme heat. 110f+ quite a bit above 110 in fact, tropical plant donchaknow.

extreme cold 23f-. really anything below freezing will work if you can sustain it long enough to damage the cell walls.

mold. if you make in warm and moist, something will surely infect that pollen

negative ion generator would keep the airboard particles to a min, but youve still got fabric adhesion to worry about.

if you have carpet, steam clean like a muther. or throw it out and get tile.

you can scrub the wals with a light bleach solution, and use a pesticide sprayer to get hard to reach areas.

depending how much pollen were talking here, it could be over your whole house by now.

steralize grow room, install hepa filter.

and in the future, for pollen colection, a little goes a long way. so unless your making pollen pie.
when you see the 4th or 5th cluster pen and start to drop pollen, put a garbage bag over the top, tie it around the stalk, cut the stalk, hang upside down in warm area, wait 2-3 days, toss plant, empty bag onto large mirror.

methylated spirits also kills pollen. It's used to kill mealy bugs on plants.

Control of mealy bugs: If there are only numbers of mealy bugs to be dealt with, dabbing a little methylated spirit (industrial alcohol, denatured alcohol) will kill them. Some people also spray their plants with methylated spirit diluted at least 1:3 with water. If you try this, remember that the fumes are potentially toxic and flammable and the liquid could harm the epidermis of delicate plants.

If methylated spirits are indeed shown to work, you should be able to get away w/ just isopropyl alcohol mixed w/ water. A methylated spirit just another name for denatured (poisonous) alcohol.
