whew damn, raining pretty good.

we set up our greenhouse plastic yesterday, so the plants are 100% protected from the rain and frost and snow.

basically, there was one leak and it got 2-3 small branches wet. I doubt they'll mold but luckilly those are the ONLY branches I have to watch for it . . . . ;). thank god for well planned gardening . . .

Mine are in the open, raining here, but clear sky temps in the mid-70s starting Monday. I have two industrial fans that can dry them all out in about two hours which will be in place Monday morning.

I'm just glad I had the plastic up. if not they'd all be drenched . . . and that's just way too much work to dry honestly. I haven't checked again but a half hour ago there was only 3 branches wet, and the rain has almost stopped.

good luck with your plants madodah

so I saved them from another frost ;). gonna keep the tent up till the end of the season, weather is too unpredictable . . . .

I'll take a pic of the tent and upload it today. it's basically my garden fence with greenhouse plastic clipped to every available area, with rope, wire, and hoses supporting the middle. it's quite the setup if I may say so . . . .

33° here tonight, frost will be possible. I don't have anything big enough to cover my plants so they'll have to, as usual, rough it.. Tuesday - Sunday low to mid 70s and clear skies, so hopefully I'll have them in by the weekend.

here's 2 bud shots ;)

inside shot

outside shots:

and by the way the temperature difference is dramatic! I just have to make sure there's enough ventilation in there to keep the humidity down. there's openings in the bottom and where the gate enterance is (though they can be sealed if I want them to be) so hopefully that's enough to stop mold/mildew/anything humidity based. we get a lot of wind here so I don't think it'll be a problem.

That looks like blue sky, can you take it down during the days to reduce humidity risk?

Mine were bone dry by 10am, didn't even have to get the fans on them.

yeah we opened it up quite a bit for 4 hours or so, so yeah no risk whatsoever.

I have a dry pic of the first plant we harvested. I want to call this strain "The Silver BusH" !!

Looks very nice.

An accomplished grower friend sometimes gets questions of 'what strain do you grow?' He grins and says 'what do you want it to be?'

Clear skies here through Monday and then more rain than I'm going to deal with. Trichs are showing predominate amber on bud leafs with a light showing on most buds. On Sunday I'm going to take all but three plants that I can feasibly cover if they aren't ripe.

nice quote but I still believe in strains. I've seen so much variation in growth for myself that I'm definitely investing in awesome strains next outdoor.

I'm seriously considering feminized seed strains next year just to reduce the work load of raising enough plants to net 12 females for bud and a modest seed harvest . My average over the past few years has been 61% females and I'm not interested in the clone process.

I'm harvesting on Monday. What a relief that'll be for me with the upcoming weather and lower temperatures. I can hang all the plants in a garage and start the dreaded trim/dry process.

Test buds have been outstanding with only five-days of drying.
