They sent like 60 people from different fire depts today from norther cali. Speaking of fire, but not making a joke of the situation, I just burnt the shit out of my fingers preparing a cup of detox green tea.

now this is what I dont get...

America has 1 moderate bush fire, and its all over the news in every country.

yet Australia burns down the majority of its bushland every single year and we never even get a mention!?

like I'm not jealous that you guys are on fire, and I'm not trying to make it look like its nothing to be fussed over, but I used to live in the middle of the city and every year in summer it would rain ash and cinders at least 4 or 5 times before Christmas and at least once a week in January/February, because the fires were that close.

Yeah most of our fires cause people to lose their houses as well, not to mention all our wildlife that dies. hell a few years ago, most of our capitol state was burnt down!

I'm not trying to say "so what" and I do feel bad for all those that are suffering in America as we speak.
I'm merely commenting on the fact that the media only cares about the US, and everyone else is just white noise!

lol, yeah and look at how that turned out in V for vendetta.

this is why I watch SBS news here...

all other channels end their news with puppies and skiing chipmunks, where as SBS are like "And now we leave you with images of people BURNING!"

they tell the truth, no sugar coating!
