haha, It would take a lot of explaining for you to understand that statement. In another life (the same one I didn't quit playing cello) things may have been different. I would have been able to raise them myself, and maybe just maybe my 15 year old wouldn't have got arrested 2 weeks ago. Or my daughter wouldn't say thing like, "I'd like you more and come over more if you bought me more stuff" to my girlfriend and me. It's more the things he is capable of that amaze me, than my feelings about him over the others. I love them all the same!!

To Bring You My Love is a great album.

She's amazing. I have a deep respect for songwriters. For some reason I am strangely attracted to female guitarists. She's a true virtuosa.

Have you ever heard Rid of Me? Three musicians make all that sound.

Completely blew me away the first time I heard it. Still does.

Engineered (produced) by Steve Albini, the Howard Roark of the music industry.

I think I'll load it up right now.

Happy Birthday to me....yesterday. Turned 46, harvested, took a xanex, drank a beer, ate dinner off the dollar menu at Taco-Bell and munched on chocolate pudding at midnight. Hard core libra too, damn being a libra is hard work all this balance to create n shit.

My neighbor came over and smoked me out with their fresh (2 weeks) outdoor harvest, sour diesal. Tasted like cotton candy going in and like fresh cut herbs comming out, yummm. Yesterday was a fabulous day, perhaps I'll have another one some day. ;) "Old isn't so bad, it's ugly ya gotta watch out for" LOL

 Kids need their dad around.

Last year, one of my brothers (the one who looks ESPECIALLY like my dad's side of the family, like he is literally my dad's brother's doppelganger) and I ran into my dad at HIS dad's shop (we were there bringing him a cake cuz it was his birthday). As soon as we saw our dad, my brother went to say hi and give him a hug, but my dad backed off and gave my brother this weird look. He obviously didn't recognize his own son.

I tried to find one of Harold Pinters poems in particular, but this was pretty good. Charlie Rose is a bit stuffed tho... The poem has amazing imagery, and the fact that he.... hahaha I don't want to give it away... just watch.

I'll go with Thelonious Monk who is an amazing musician.... hitting key combos that most fear to.

I've always spent as much time with my kids as possible. So they didn't have to deal with what I did. Every other weekend and 1 day a week isn't enough time to make a real big impact on their behavior.

That story sounds familiar. I was 18 the first time I saw my dad since I was 6. He knew who I was but didn't act like I was any more than an acquaintance. I took my dad not being around better than my brothers. My older bro acted out a lot as a teen because of it. My younger brother changed his name because he didn't want to share his name. Not that I don't have my issues because of it.

Anyway..... Sorry for rambling....

Happy Birthday Brett Favre!!! One of the guys who make football fun to watch!!

here it is in type....

Laughter

Laughter dies out but is never dead
Laughter lies out the back of its head
Laughter laughs at what is never said
It trills and squeals and swills in your head
It trills and squeals in the heads of the dead
And so all the lies remain laughingly spread
Sucked in by the laughter of the severed head
Sucked in by the mouths of the laughing dead.

Okay, I'm going to drop back a day and throw out a belated HB to Joan Cusack. A very funny gal, who can really deliver her lines.
