right im about to pot my seed plugs into canna coco plus. i'll be using just canna coco a+b for the first week or so. my water ph if 7.5+ im using a liquid inidactor i cant get the pen till next week.
now i have only got white vinegar as ph down (till next week) so would it work my getting the ph down to about 6 with the vinegar then adding the nutes as im not too sure whether the ph indicator will work once i add the colored nutes to water

It'll work fine in the short term, but I wouldn't make a habit out of it - you wanna add the nutes first and then pH, not vice cersa.

I've never used vinegar before, but you can get some pH down from any pet store - it's a worthwhile investment, IMHO.

thank you for the quick reply. i'm definatly gonna be getting some proper ph kit in a few days but really dont have any cash till then.
you got any idea what canna coco nutes do to the ph are they acidic or alkaline?

I use distilled white vinegar (4% acidity) to lower the ph and baking soda to raise the ph....so you don't have to go purchase some expensive ph down or up stuff.

I've found that a measured 1/4 teaspoon of vinegar lowers the ph approx. .5 ...So, if you are growing in soil and the water out of your tap is 7.1, then I would add a little bit more than a measured 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar to get you to 6.4ph.

First add your nutes, then ph the water....Nutes generally lower the ph. Also, let the water stand overnight so that it is at room temperature before you start doing anything.

ph control is a MUST. Also, check the ph of the run off to see that you are in the sweet spot on the ph scale.

You can always contact your local water department to find out what the ph is and also the PPM.

I use a 'zero water' (available pretty much everywhere) for my water. It takes everything out of the water and leaves you with zero ppm and a pretty low ph. When I bought mine, it included a free TDS meter.
