ICE** (Lucas Formula Plus) ;)

Look at your plants and they can tell you. If the tips are browning and looking burnt, your nutes could be too hot.

My understanding is that different strains have different tolerances, so what is a good ppm for my plants may not be so good for your plants. I have read that 800-1600 is ideal for most strains, and if you are @1500 and aren't seeing burning starting at tips, I would equate the stress to something else (or a combination).

I don't measure by that method so I cannot answer you right off.

DRJAYNE , I believe the conversion you are referring to is a different scale that can be used to measure PPM (parts per million). Some meter have more than one measuring function, EC and TDS are the most common.

using 1 gallon of RO water I added 5ML/CC of GHGrow which gave me 750ppm, and then I added 10ML/CC GHBloom and get a reading of 1290ppm/ 1.90EC. My syringe has a nozzle so my measure of 5/10 is prolly more like 7/12 to be honest. So if you converted ML/CC to TBS./TSP. you'd have your answer based on my meter.

Does that help?

Also, I found this:

Calculated EC/TDS levels:

EC microsiemen:
0-4-8: 946 µS
0-5-10: 1184 µS
0-8-16: 1894 µS

TDS @ 0.5 conversion:
0-4-8 = 473 ppm
0-5-10 = 592 ppm
0-8-16 = 947 ppm

TDS @ 0.7 conversion:
0-4-8 = 663 ppm
0-5-10 = 829 ppm
0-8-16 = 1326 ppm

sorry you had it bad with the lucas formula. From my last crop I had a light leak up until the 5 week of a 9 week strain and still did better then I ever have before . I know that everything doesnt work for everyone so the hell with it do what works

How can you get away with using only
5ml FloraGro
3ml FloraMicro
7ml FloraBloom
2ml Cal Mag
1.5ml Diamond Necture
1ml Floralicous Plus
in a 30 gallon setup?

I use a 40 and am using numbers like
Big Table Bloom
FloraGro 200
FloraMicro 400
Flora Bloom 600
nectar 100
plus 40
kool bloom 200
flora blend 100

And am barely hitting the 1300ppm mark.

Second question, who has actually used chi foliar spray before? Do you use it in dark, or in light? I am using it for the first time this run. . .

this is just awful info...the lucas formula sucks because you arent using it correctly. as stated already, its 5-10 for veg, 8-16 for flower

there are ALWAYS going to be deficiencies when you dont put in ENOUGH formula.

Also, what is the big deal with Lucas formula, all he did was get cheap on the Micro right?

no, he cut out the grow...its all about the NPK.

i would also stay away from the foliar spray...can only lead to mold IMO
