seeds from self pollinated forced hermie

if you force a female to hermie and it self pollinates, will the seeds have hermie genetics? It seems like they shouldn't since the plant was not a genetic hermie and also you get feminized seeds from forcing a hermie and breeding with a female

?

If you force a female to hermie and self pollinate then you will feminized seeds. No hermie genetics above and beyond the risks already associated with the specific strain you are growing.

cool thanks. Just seems like every post I see about herms say the seeds will have the genetics so I wasn't sure

NEVER use a natural hermie for breeding. Ever. This will pass the genetics along. Forcing a female to hermie is another story. The genetics are female for both parts of pollenation thus ensuring female seeds. Enjoy :)

Not entirely true. Feminized seeds come from having a true female that will not hermie no matter what stressors are done to it, and then causing male flowers by chemical means. That pollen is then used to pollinate another stable, true female, resulting seeds are feminized. If you can force a female to hermie by other than chemical means, it is not a stable female, and the resulting seeds will be hermie.

randomly.. its hard to tell how dominate they will be.. the easier it was to force your plant to herm its likely the hermie genes will be more dominate.

breeders create true fem seeds by exposing the plants to ethylene during a certain phase of growth to produce male flowers on a female plant.
ive never seen it done but have read up on it extensively, i was wondering the same thing a few crops ago, had a decent NL that went genderbender and i was debating on using the seeds
now i know better

That will have a bigger chance to herm than unfemized seeds. A feminized seeds has a greater chance to herm that a um feminized seed period
