Ok so I made a thread a few weeks ago for this grow and i decided to wait untill I have everything I need instead of starting with the bare minimum but here we go................................

Materials:
(1)1000w switchable hps/mh
(1)4” Can Filter/TD Series Fan
(2)6" 2 Speed Air King® Fan
(1) osculating fan
(2) 54 gal rubbermaid resivours
(18) Net pots
(18) net pot covers
Humboldt Grow micro and bloom
general hydroponics ph up and down
(also have stealth hydro ph up and down but from what I have read is theirs jumps alot)
(2) water pumps from SH
(2)air pumps from petco
hydroton
mylar

I germinated the seeds on 10/5. This is my first thread although I have grown with soil twice I will still need alot of help. So far the water in the tanks have stayed cool but I will be adding some mylar to the tops of them to keep the insides cool all the time.

That's sounds like a reasonable goal. I hope you reach, or exceed, it! Are your seeds feminized?
Yea they are feminized T.H seeds Heavy duty fruity. I watched another guys grow on here that used them and his results were awsome so I hope to do the same as long as I can grow dwc the same as I can in soil haha...............I am debateing on adding another light durring flowering (additional 600W).

Hey tilemaster your grow was my decideing choice on heavy duty, congrats on that past grow. Do you have any pics of the final buds from the hdf
When the roots of the plants are big enough to thouch water do I still have to have the pump to water my plants?

Good question, and no you do not. Most bubbleponics growers remove the pump after about 2-3 weeks, once the roots are in the water. Its a good idea to remove it because it can hold nasty stuff like salt buildup and dead roots etc, and your res will cool down a couple degrees once its removed.

yes remove. i removed as per rosemans advice, and there were like 10 different 8 inch strands of roots trying to grow down the tubes. advanced stages of veg and flower, u'd have roots freakin everywhere causing bacteria and serious ph flucuation...

hers some shots of hdf as requested, made me work for it too, since i no longer have the pics although they float the web FOREVER.....:)

I just got home and finally my res is a little warm I was wondering if useing the plastic ice packs would be a problem. like if i drop a new one in the res every few hours............or is there a easier way?

im not a hydro guy, hmm. are u running a submersible pump? if thats adding to ur heat , and its running 24/7 than try using a timer and cycling it. that may help rez temps. or better yet replace the pump with a inline that sits outside the rez. im sure there some DIY ice tricks too as u say. saving up for a chiller may be invaluable due to ur location (midwest) gets pretty warrm...
