I'm gonna be getting both for $50.00!!!!!*

She said her boy friend died and they were his. I said what did he grow with them? She said "marijuanna". What would be an expected yield with 1 light and 1 plant? I will post pics of the lights when I get them.

experienced growers aim for about a gram per watt.. if you are experienced you can aim for about 2lbs per 1000 watt light... it really depends on a variety of other things though, not just your lights (air circulation, temperature, co2, nutrients, etc...) a typical veg cycle is about a month to two months.. some people go 12/12 right away at seedling stage and skip veg.. flowering is usually about 8 weeks or two months.. given this, you can expect about 3-4 months from seed to finish on a grow, hope this answers your questions cause i am ripped right now! haha

Is that the dry weight or wet weight? If that is wet weight I should get about a 1 1/2 lbs dry.

If my electric company charges $83.44 for 1KWH and I divide that I get 11.98. Would I take 11.98 X 1000 then the hours it will be running to get my monthly cost?

it is a great price, i wish i could get a deal like that haha.. her circumstances are however unfortunate though...

the weight i was referring to is dried weight, you can expect to lose about 50% of wet weight when drying if you want to try to forecast dry weight.. i never bother weighing anything wet because in the end the results are the same, no point in worrying about what im going to get.. it is what it is haha

your configurations for kilowatt hours are not correct... you must have misread their price for a kilowatt hour, it's most likely $.08344 dollars/kwh.. basically it is about 8.5 cents per kilowatt hour.. since you have 1000w lights it's easy to calculate.. you are using 1 kwh per hour that your light runs.. since you have 2 of them it will be 2kwh per hour the lights are on.. so if you are always using both simultaneously, the calculation will go like this: .08344 * (hours the light is on in the day)* (amount of days in the month)* 2= your monthly cost
so, for 18 hours a day in veg and 30 days in a month your cost will be: .08344* 18*30*2= $90.1152
and the cost for running both in flower should go like this: .08344*12*30*2=$60.0768
thats the calculations for both lights running for the same amount of hours each day at a rate of 8.344 cents per kilowatt hour!

I have never tried putting a 400 watt bulb on a 1000w ballast but im about 99.99% sure that you will just blow your bulb out because it is way over powered.. i did however try using a 1000 watt bulb in a 400w ballast one time when my light burned out because i didnt have another 400 and i can tell you that does work! however irrelevant that might be...

Wow those prices aren't bad! I'm only gonna be using one light so 45 and change isn't bad at all for the amount I will get. Is the amount you listed if I only did 1 plant per light or for each plant I grow under it? Would 5 plants harvest like 5lbs?

Depends how you grow, with 1000 watt on 5 plants I highly doubt you can get a pound off each, I would say about 1-2 ounces off each. If you only have 5 plants in an area of 3x3 I would say with proper nuture and genetics you could easly get 3 ounces off each. Look into Scrog if you high effiecency.

i usually do about 9 or 10 plants per 1000 watt and try to grow 4 footers, i usually get between 3 and 4 oz's on average (with the occasional 5-8 oz monster) per plant in 5 gallon soil containers with my own soil mix and the right nutrients.. this averages out to about 27-36 ounces per light which is about 1 3/4-2 1/4 lbs per light of dried cured bud! this is with years of experience though and the teachings of my older cousin who has about 10 years of experience and copius amounts of knowledge
