Well, I bought a hand microscope from radio shack. The trichs are telling me she's ready- mostly cloudy, a few clear left and probably 1 out of 50 are amber. This happened so quickly, I haven't had more than 3 days to flush it. It's been a week since she was given 0-10-10 nutes.
Also, I picked a lower bud last week, dried it in a piece of paper for 2 days, smoked it...and it was great!
I am going to give it one good flush and harvest tomorrow. Then on to drying and curing.
Smokeh asked...'"""can i just ask as well. how much harvest does any1 expect 1 plant of SSH expect to produce? ive heard its low. i know some strains u can get an ounce out of 1 plant. just wondering if any1 knew the amount with SSH under CFL's.""
Well, I am not sure since I haven't cut of weighed it yet. Just eyeballing it looks like about 15-20gs..although I really have no idea.
Remember, I only let this plant get 1ft tall or 20inches if you count the bend. I think it really wanted to be a 3-4 footer.
Silver haze is my favorite strain to smoke, that's why I bought it. I'll post some pics later today or tomorrow.

I cut her down today. Cut it at the base of the stalk, as far down as i could, then hung her upside down (intact) in the box i used to grow. Temps in there without the light should be 65F and with 50-60% humidity.
I took some pictures of the soil after i took it out of the pot. Looks a little root bound- or at least she was using the whole pot. I don't think it really affected anything since it was as tall as it could be.
Now for the drying and curing.
I took some small buds off of the bottom to dry in some paper. I did it this way during the grow and the smoke was fine- so looking forward to smoking a few buds while the rest dries and cures.

im not 100% sure but you should trim some of the bigger fan leaves for drying. you may be opening yourself up for some bud rot.
with the bigger leaves gone you the air can circulate around the bud better. plus it will definitely dry quicker.
keep your leaf. make a small batch of butter.

great. Top notch smoke, everyone I shared with wanted to buy it. I got about 18-20 grams out of it- which isn't bad for such a small plant.

i definitely agree. you said one out of 50 were amber hairs.....most usually wait till about 75% of hairs turn....oh well theres always a next time
