From looking at it, I'd go with more ventilation, but if you say temps are good then no need. I'm suspecting the plexiglass helps with the temps quite a bit. Do you have any ventilation going on in the CFL area? I've been toying around with plexi between lights and plants but haven't had much luck in it affecting temps.Welcome ALL. We need a sub forum for this, and as i understand it's already being worked on, so for the time being we can start here.
Who's Got micro grows going? Lets see your pics, progress, and preferences!!!
I have converted this old night stand into a micro grow. It works awesome. Temps are perfect all the time.
70 Watt hps in a micro HOW COOL!! My next project. +rep
at last! a hangout for the micro people
WELCOME TO THE THREAD!! And it's true you'll need more light for those girls when they root. And as a practise keep the plants 1-2 inches away from that light. they won't burn if you have proper air flow.

If you can spare the space, I'd add one or two mid-level CFLs
What wattage are your CFLs?
Excellent job man! I'm growing in a cabinet about the same size (door + two drawers). I've had issues controlling heat but other than that it works out perfectly. down.

Hey welcome to the thread. I hope to discuss more with you. I also feel i can solve your heat issues when i explain my venting method for micros. I'll do a simple paint program diagram and post it. The method makes a 10-15 degree difference in lowering temps. One fan is typically needed.
My CFL's are all 42W a piece (2800 lumen) 2-2700K and 2-6500K
try to take a close look at the pictures that i previously posted. 3/4 of my venting system is looking after the CFL portion of the Box.
I'm not going to add mid way lights, i'm going to LST instead. And i got EXCELLENT reflection in my case now and with 4- 42 watt cfl's up top, i'll do good.
Bagseed germinated for almost 3 weeks in a paper towel in a ziplock that I found after discovering EVERY plant from my first germination was male Why waste em?
Same container is really just laziness coupled with a lack of motivation to give a shit about them. Waiting for my real seeds to show up
LMAO yah I've been noticing that myself, I have the exact same one! Got mine for like $6.99 at wallyworld though I've been looking at ones with dual-remote sensors to go into each grow area. The one I have now does the job just fine.have you ever noticed EVERYONE HAS the same thermometer/hydrometer model? I see this thing in almose every picture. I too own one. LOL
No problem send it over here. lol why grow one when you can grow two!!! hhahaJahRoots nice little lady there. You gunna cut out the drive columns in that case?
Welcome to the thread.

I have an old gateway case (you can see it in my journal) where I just drilled out he rivets for the drive cage.I can't find my metal cutters hahaha
I personally believe you can with CFL lights, because the wavelength of light doesn't focus well.can you use aluminum foil?
Yea man that's what i did kinda, just took side cutters to the rivets.I have an old gateway case (you can see it in my journal) where I just drilled out he rivets for the drive cage.
