Auto Grow 250W MH/HPS

Gave the "Afghan"(who knows anymore) a much needed haircut today... Cut a lot of the undergrowth off, all these tiny puny branches trying to make it up to the light. Here's 2 before and 2 after pics..

Don't look like much but it will make a difference.

Thank you very much Jardin..Let me know when you got your lowryder update up. Are you still choppin the roadrunners soon?

Will do! I am going to chop one on Friday and let the other one go untill day 70, or untill I have mostly amber trichs on her, That way Ill have a Heady bud and a couch lock bud.

Hey Big, I know you're not pleased with the size of that Afghan, but I can't help liking it. There's a little excitement about not knowing what the hell it is and what it will produce, and it's a cool looking plant. It will look even cooler when it's full of developing buds, size permitting.:hump:

I'm taking your advice on my harvest and will pick a day this week. Cheers.

Thanks for the update. Looks like youll have some smoke for your husbands bday after all huh?

Yeah it's growing on me, it's just not what I had planned. Afghan or not, it better be good after all this.

Looking forward to the bud off that easyryder...

Well it's been 8 weeks and things are ok. I seemed to have burned the easy ryder slightly, but it's fine. The roadrunner never got over the yellowing leaves and spots. I'm gonna flush both out for a few days and then maybe give them a dose of koolbloom later, hopefully bulking them up a little. Then It'll be time for the flush before harvest. The "Afghan" is still veggin. Big surprise.

Both of the autos are getting orange hairs now.

They're maturing nicely, BigRaw. The Roadrunner looks like it'll fill in and produce double what the Easyryder will. Pretty cool having 3 completely different plants. I'm guessing the Easyryder should be the first in line for the chopping block. Just curious, how long does it take your pots to dry out between waterings? Cheers.

Edit: I remember you're using the autowater pots. Nevermind.

Yeah I'm not sure if i'm gonna do the autowatering as much until I figure it out better. It's hard to tell sometimes if it's the right thing to do...I think if you keep the nutes lower it wouldn't be a problem, but if you start giving them a bunch of nutes they could burn days later and then you have to flush them out. I think the way I was feeding them anyway isn't really as efficient as I thought. Every plant is different and I think I just ran into that with these. Can't water the same for each one. I know this can work better, I just need to play with it a lil more..

The Afghan is taking the nutes with a full res. great with a teaspoon of Maxigro per gallon. I'm gonna go easy with the nutes when I flower her though.

The roadrunner I had trouble with as soon as she had the flowering stretch. I might just flush her with water and molasses until the end.

The easy ryder had no probs and took the nutes great until this last feeding. I think I'll give her a little Koolbloom toward the end and then flush.

Anyway, I guess I updated a little more on the plants health and gave you a lil more info Pablo. I can see myself growing a wide array of different strains every grow.
